  1. +1 on the H2O Ethos. Great rods for the $. The composite crankin' rod is a steal.
  2. MLF on TV & Honey Hole on YouTube.
  3. $17.00 pre order price
  4. I check eBay weekly. Also there are a couple of tackle shops in the Dallas area that sell used gear. I check with them also.
  5. OK rods but a little heavy. But that's a trade off for the price. Make sure to check the eye alignment before you buy. I like to check eBay & used tackle dealers for the original All Star WR1 & WR2 made in Houston. Great rods that I have found for around $50.00.
  6. Just saw on Bassmaster that for iCast, there will be a bigger 4" TRD along with a 3/0 Shroom head.
  7. I wanna try that Leech on the Ned Rig jig head.
  8. Maybe so, but I don't have to soak, rub or stretch. Not counting they're $2.99 at my local Walmart several times a year. On a totally unrelated note, the Berkley Powerbait Twitch Tail Minnow works awesome if you like to swim it.
  9. I just buy a bag of Zoom Original Trick Worms. The "Originals" have no salt added. 20 to a bag, cut off the head & tail to your desired length - 40 baits. You're welcome.
  10. I would like to make some of these, similar to the D&M Buzz Saw. Does anyone make a straight wire jig head? Since this design has a free swinging EWG hook, maybe I could just use an inline spinner body. Or would like any other tips you would care to share. Thanks!
  11. If he is using the "Original Trick Worm", it will float because of no salt. If the package says "Super Salt Added" or "Better Than Salt", the tail will droop as you say. Sometimes the slow fall of the salt added is what they want.
  12. Great Jig. The swim jig is awesome as well.
  13. http://www.tnrivertacklecompany.com/officialpage_006.htm My favorites!
  14. Hi Seas Grand Slam Select - great line, incredible price.
  15. I use the Keitech Mono Guard Jig Head in 1/8 oz - 1/0.
  16. If I want to use a trailer, I throw the D&M Buzz Saw. It has a free swinging EWG hook that you can rig your trailer of choice. It also makes it weedless.
  17. I remember reading an article by Larry Nixon that one of his secrets was to use a heavy, shiny slip sinker with a 4" curly tail worm. He would pitch it under docks. The heavy sinker would fall fast which would cause separation. But the worm looked like it was chasing something as it fell behind it, triggering a reaction strike.
  18. My Lake Fork Slider Head of choice - Buckeye Magnum Goby Sled...
  19. Use a bobber stop. Put it on your line before rigging the hook/sinker. Slide it down to the weight.
  20. Original Trick Worm if you want it to float up. The "Super Salt Plus" & the "Better Than Salt" will not float up, but slowly fall to the bottom. The latter sometimes works better when the bite is tough.
  21. Price is better also. I like the Baby D-Bomb in the Desert Storm color.
  22. Zoom Original Trick Worm. Make sure it's the Original & not the "Super Salt Plus" or "Better than Salt" - they sink.

I get more bites on the #2 Indiana & Colorado blades than the Willow Leaf. One exception is if I am fishing docks with a shad colored stick bait, I nail weight the nose, & TX rig the worm in the middle, with the Willow Leaf on the tail. Pitch it under a dock & let it fall. Some of the strikes can be violent.
  24. I think without something like the YUM Double Up, the back bait would fall in line with the front bait on a steady retrieve & tangle up.
  25. Excellent value. I'm a big fan of their square bills & swimbaits.
