Who Gave Up Their Boat For A Kayak ?
Why might you sell the 2 boats? When the weather gets cold, do you tend to use the boats instead of the kayak?

Who Gave Up Their Boat For A Kayak ?
If so, what was your reason? What kayak did you buy? Are you in a mild climate? I think about selling my jon boat sometimes, but I think I would miss it in the spring and fall's cool temps. I currently have a 16' flat bottom jon and a Mini X kayak. I sold my outboard a couple years ago because I rarely used it. Thanks for your input.

Nucanoe Or ...?
I'm looking for a 10' SOT kayak, but I'm also considering the Native Ultimate 12. I just don't know if I want to be without the scupper holes. The videos I've seen of the U12, it looks like there's only 3-4" between the water level and top of gunwale. Are my eyes playing tricks on me? My most important needs are an elevated, comfortable seat, and stability. I really like my Mini x, but the low seat is very hard on my back. The Jackson Cruise 10' also looks nice, but the weight capacity is only 300 lbs. Thanks for any advice on these 3 kayaks(Ultimate 12, Nucanoe Frontier 10', and Jackson Cruise 10'.

Nucanoe Or ...?
Thanks Darren. I tried the WS Commander, but did not like the goofy rounded floor. I think I want to limit myself to a 10 footer because it will fit in my mini van, and I can still close the rear hatch. I currently have the Malibu Mini X, which I like, but the low seat is hard on my back.

Nucanoe Or ...?
I really like what I've seen of the 10' NuCanoe Frontier, but it's just too expensive. I'm keeping my eyes open for a used one, but I'm not holding my breath. Which kayaks would be the closest to the Frontier's width, super stability, and elevated seat? Thanks.

Recommend Me A Kayak
That's very expensive to me. By the time you add in the seat bracket and a seat, it's probably about $1,400 correct?

Hybrid Kayak/canoe Help
I know this is an old thread, BUT if fishing alone, is there any reason why I'd need the 12' Frontier over the 10' Frontier? I weigh 215 lbs. I bring very little gear with me. The 12' model is 41" wide 10' model is 39" wide

Who Fishes From A Square Stern Canoe ?
Thanks. I already have a kayak. The canoe would be to replace my 16' flat bottom jon boat.

Who Fishes From A Square Stern Canoe ?
I never did buy a square stern canoe, but I'm thinking about it again. I noticed the 15' Saranac square stern that Dick's sells went up $250 from last fall. Any ideas why? It went from $550 to $800.

Popularity Of Kayaks
Was it the Viper 10 footer? We bought one for a 3rd kayak last spring and my wife loves it. Since she used it, she has yet to use her Old Town Otter again. We paid $149 for it, and that included a paddle and foot pegs. Great deal on a very stable, comfortable kayak.

Keel Rollers - Are They Meant To Support The Boat's Weight?
I have 2 bunks and 1 roller toward the front. I recently replaced my roller bunk boards with 2X4's laid flat, and bunk sliks on top. Now I have to re-position everything because the height is different.

Keel Rollers - Are They Meant To Support The Boat's Weight?
Thanks. But what about the rollers in the front half of the trailer?

Keel Rollers - Are They Meant To Support The Boat's Weight?
Or are they mainly to align the boat when loading on the trailer? Thanks.

Rudder For Pond Prowler...help?
I agree with trying to find an old trolling motor. I cut the motor off a dead trolling motor, and bolted a piece of plywood thru the shaft. Works great.

Placement Of Trailer Bunks ?
Yes, but they are roller bunks(that I am removing). I just didn't know where to have the new bunks end, in relation to the trailer. It sounds like it really doesn't matter. The trailer is not made for the boat.

Placement Of Trailer Bunks ?
Not to be rude, but no one is answering my question. The boat has nothing to do with it. I want to know where to end the rear of bunks in relation to the rear of trailer frame. Thanks.
