  1. I think it depends on size. I think a pond has to be like two acres before it can hold any fish.
  2. I always have flipped it manually. Ever since I learned how to use a spinning reel I have. I found it hard to flip the bail by reeling.
  3. Look at it this way. That Van Staal VM150 is being sold for $186, but retails for $449. What do you think.
  4. It's a pflueger echelon spinning combo but the best I can afford. I mainly throw weightless senkos and super flukes on ewg hooks. I always rig them as straight as possible.
  5. I just made the switch from mono to braid on my spinning reels about 2 months ago, but it keeps twisting. I've started using swivels in front of my leader but I think it makes it hard to cast accurately. Why does it do this? I never had this problem with mono.
  6. How about that fish your holding in your avatars?
  7. I'm surprised that no one's mentioned bandit crankbaits. For 3-5 bucks a piece they're great. I suck at crankbaits but I've caught more on bandits than strike kings. I know it's not a confidence thing, since I don't have confidence in any of them.
  8. Texas rigs are my number 1 confidence bait.
  9. I just googled it, and it's $379.5930 in USD
  10. What about a lightning rod shock and a shimano caius? I don't like shimano, but I've heard a lot of good things about that reel.
  11. Those vengeance' s are good rods for the price.
  12. I always fish worms. Sometimes I have fairly good luck with a craw, but not enough to say that I'm confident using them. I've never caught a fish on a lizard though.
  13. How do I know what I should throw on my texas rigs? When would I want to throw a craw over a worm or lizard over a craw?
  14. Yeah a lot of things like these are kind of tacky, but that's one sharp gun.
  15. I meant a rod for catching bait. Pinfish are really dense for their size, and also a blast to catch on 4 pound line.
  16. You don't get it... but you sure can have fun with a boatload of them.
  17. I think that if you use trailer hooks it also keeps the skirt from falling off so easy.
  18. This, and the $3 sportsmans warehouse spinnerbaits are made by Strike King.
  19. Can I recommend a 7'1 medium heavy *** *** black and an orra sx. This would run right at $200.
  20. All of the big bite baits line up.
  21. I've been using lead but I wanted to see if there was any thing a little better but still affordable.
  22. I use this. It's the exact same thing as the Black Max 1 but it has saltwater parts. Before any one calls me out I emailed abu and asked them. It's an academy exclusive like the hank Parker combo is for Wal-Mart. I started out with this and believe me it's a steal. http://www.academy.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_10051_161411_-1__?N=78002898
