  1. LMAO! that is harsh dude that's great 1instripes, I'm sure you were bursting with pride. I owed him one.
  2. Your kid looks like a dork wearing that lifejacket.
  3. That show is about as interesting as watching paint dry. I'm very shocked that Animal Planet will show someone fishing. Larry Dahlberg's show is better and he targets some badass fish.
  4. I'm surprised some of you are even allowed to get online. Do your wives keep your balls in her purse or on the top shelf in the pantry?
  5. Surprised Baltimore and DC didn't make the list.
  6. If I lived that close to Guntersville, I'd be there every day.
  7. None that I know of. While I don't fish braid, my partner does and hasn't had any trouble doing so.
  8. Too bad if you're left handed though. I wanted to buy a shimano low gear ratio for cranking and they did not make one in the Left hand retrieve. They did, the 201DPV. Is that last years model???? That is the reel referenced in the post you quoted.
  9. Tourney Special? Fine rod if you're in the market for something to beat rugs.
  10. But those line capacities listed on the box are just that, line capacity for a given line diameter. Nothing more, nothing less. Yes, one should play attention to the line rating on the rod, but the reel should never enter the equation.
  11. Buy it and fish it. If you like it, great. If you don't like it, sell it. Geez, SOGOTP.
  12. I hate a wet boat. The bottom is fine wet, the topside no. Doesn't help that I just washed it too.
  13. Press the Menu button, then scroll down to select the Map Data option. Press the enter button. Scroll down to the Navionics Map Choice option and press the enter button. If you have correctly installed the Hot Maps card, you should have a long list of confusing file names. You must select your state from that list and press the enter button.
  14. 7" Anaconda.
  15. Planning on hitting the lake after work, brought my boat in with me. No rain in the forecast, so I didn't put the boat into the garage. Go outside around 2:30 to catch a few samples, see lightning, then get caught in the rain. Managed to get the boat in the garage before it got too wet. Only thing I really hate about summer (other than mowing my yard) is all of the damned T-storms that pop up out of nowhere and manage to soak everything.
  16. You may want to try a different name since that one is taken. https://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?action=viewprofile;username=426A6B605A556D6C766D6C6B050

  18. Just wanted to nudge you a bit.
  19. Carry a bow and stick every d**n one of them that messes with your bait.
  20. When cinching a knot, you want to always pull on the tag end to prevent burning the mainline.
  21. Tournament hours are posted as 6:30AM-4PM on the tournament website. Show up at tournament, no mention of any time change. Come back to the ramp for weigh-in at 3:38PM, almost every boat has already taken out, weighed in, covered their boats and put up the scales and table. When the tournament director is questioned, states that the hours were changed to 6:30PM-3:30PM. You get disqualified for being late. None of those who weighed in had the balls to say anything to those who were late.
  22. Small deck, too much junk.
  23. The line capacities listed for a reel do not limit said reel to only those line sizes. The drag has absolutely nothing to do with spool rotation.
  24. Tom and I did a little fishing last weekend. Drove east a little ways on Sunday afternoon and hit a place we hadn't fished before. The lake's reputation is good, but we didn't get much action. We figured out how to catch the dinks, but the big fish just weren't biting. Then again, when do the big fish ever bite what I'm throwing. :-[ Got up Monday morning and hit the infamous Cheerleader Ponds. Our trip got shortened due to an encounter with the campus police. Seems they don't want us putting our boats in either pond. > We did get to fish the boat one last time thanks to Tom's Masonic connections, but got a phone call when we left that put the kibosh on future boating in the Cheerleader Ponds. We did manage to boat a few typical CP fish. All of mine were caught on a Rage Tail Anaconda. Tom got one or two on the Rage Shad. Twas a decent weekend. Always nice to be on the water, even if it was with Tommy. ;D
  25. Return of the King almost put me in the hospital.
