  1. United States Postal Service money order only. Be sure you absolutely specify that you will only accept USPS money orders. Back when I was selling on eBay, I had to return countless money orders from various sources that my bank would not cash. The good thing about USPS money orders is that you can cash them at the PO when shipping an item. Plus they are harder to forge.
  2. That's the thing, I haven't been fishing much lately. Heck, I haven't had my boat out in 3 weeks. :'(
  3. Pill, see the link in my initial post. JF, I don't drink coffee, so nothing to worry about there. Sex...well, let me just say that having a busy life sucks. :'(
  4. Is that Varner Gene?
  5. I don't know if he is going to fish Douglas or not. His camper is on Cherokee. I'd love to head down there Friday afternoon and fish with him, but I doubt the old lady would appreciate that very much. :-/
  6. They don't call them the 'Aints for nothing. ;D
  7. For the second time in five years. Starting tomorrow morning with Chantix . I smoked for 7 years, kicked the habit for 2.5 years, then started again thanks to a chimney (aka co-worker). After 2 years, I'm kicking it to the curb again. I've read a lot of good reviews for Chantix. I just hope I don't get the worst of the side effects. That said, I do see a new trolling motor in my future...
  8. You aren't far off Rob. ;D :-/
  9. Split-ring pliers are the only way to go. After spending an hour changing the hooks on one DD22, I wised up and got a good set. One word of advice though, do not attempt to use said pliers when riding shotgun in an F250 doing 75 with the boat in tow. Buried two hooks into my thumb that evening. :-/
  10. It has been so long since I read that thread I couldn't find it if I wanted to. Quick google turned this up... http://www.dec.ny.gov/press/12605.html Junk science at it's best...
  11. That was either a very hungry or very horny fish. ;D
  12. Other than the local video rental shack and a few other mom & pop places, I don't know of any business that pays minimum wage. Local McDonald's hire between $6 and $7 an hour depending on qualifications. Local Wally World starts off around $6.50.
  13. Tried clearing your cookies and temp cache?
  14. You're referring to a different bag. The one I'm talking about is the red bag.
  15. Hey dere! Have any good lutefisk recipes?
  16. Tell that to my wife and the plastic-filled shoeboxes in my spare bedroom/office. ;D
  17. I bought a BPS Extreme Qualifier 370 tackle bag back in January. Used it a few times between then and late April, when I got a bigger Cabelas bag. Recently started using it a little bit when I'm fishing with friends in their boats to save a little space. After two trips, two of the zipper pulls have pulled off and two seams have begun to fail. Not an isolated incident either. TheBeast bought the same bag in February. His is in worse shape. Granted it has been used a bit more than mine. They may look decent and have a good price, but IMO they're junk. I don't know if you can find a better bag than the Cabelas Advanced Angler Pro Series bags.
  18. He going to start playing both ways?
  19. I like Fenwick rods. My only problem with them is that they're all made in China (much like Shimano). That said, I did just buy an HMG this morning (needed a new worm rod fast). They are nice and seem to be decently crafted. I've not had any trouble with any of my other Fenwick products.
  20. That's the problem, there ain't no itch. ;D Russ, I've been making an effort to spend a little more money with local shops rather than ordering from Cabelas or Tackle Warehouse. The only problem is that having them as close as they are tends to lead to a lot of impulse buys. Came oh so close to getting a 50mg this morning. :-[
  21. What state? My knowledge is limited, but the only two states with lead bans that I know of are NY and Maine. If NY, there was a long thread on NYBass.com about the lead ban.
  22. and I'm addicted to soft plastics. I can't seem to go to the tackle shop and leave with anything less than 4 packages of Zoom products. I think I'm single-handedly keeping my local shop open. :-/

Glad you got it straightened out. Adding peripherals can be quite maddening at times. I once spent 2 days installing a new CD-RW drive.
  24. There are a great many stores out there where prices are either not displayed or merchandise is in the wrong location. I haven't been in a KMart forever, but my most recent visits consisted of sorting through a ton of misplaced merchandise just to find what I was looking for.

I'm no expert, but I don't see how the change from 75 Hz to 60 Hz would cause distortion and stretching when viewing photos. When you're talking about the 'dropdown', are you referring to the directions I gave above or the monitor's on-screen menu?
