  1. You keep this up, you're going to force me to pay $15 for a trip or two.
  2. And I do? The Citica can be had for $100 shipped from various online retailers. Show me a better deal on any reel out there.
  3. I would opt for a M. Check out the Crucial DropShot 6'8 MXF.
  4. I saw it in a store for the first time last week. I would give it a try, but I've gone all fluorescent. Certainly priced in line with the premium flouro lines.
  5. Oh boo hoo hoo :'( I only caught 2 seven pound fish. You make me sick Randall...
  6. Dynamite? Old crank telephone? The possibilities are endless my child.
  7. Great, now I'm going to have Carl Spackler's voice in my head all damned day. ;D
  8. SYMETRE!!!! Shimano has served you well in the past. Why take a chance?
  9. See y'all in a month...
  10. The Curado compared to the price of a Trion...yes. I find that they are similar in quality and performance. :-?
  11. The Champlain tourney should be on ESPN2 on 7/28. They usually delay airing tournaments for 2 weeks.

    Imagine how the fish feel.

Then why is mine still working? ;D
  14. Shimano's are expensive? :-?
  15. Mike, tilt/trim is more about performance than fuel efficiency. If you need tips on t&t, send Muddy a message.
  16. The thing I like about Owner over Gamakatsu is that the point on an Owner (at least the 5102) is so much bigger and stronger. The point on a Gamakatsu will roll over after a fish or five. The Owner Cutting Point never deforms. I've still got some Gamakatsu offset shank EWG's in my box that I will use on occasion. But for the most part, the only Gamakatsu hook I'm fishing anymore is the Superline EWG. The point still rolls a bit, but not as badly as the regular offset shank EWG. Owners are more expensive, but the extra cost is worth it.
  17. There are manufacturers other than Shimano?
  18. With rods, you're paying for sensitivity. I asked the same question a year ago. Spend a little money ($100-200) on a rod and then fish it a while.
  19. They redesigned them, all now feature split grips. http://www.tackletour.com/reviewicast07rodspg6.html Hope they didn't jack the prices up as well.
  20. That is one butt-ugly bait.
  21. I don't care for the way they've changed the show this year. I like seeing a running tally when each fisher boats a fish. I also like seeing the final weights for each competitor. Both are no more. They've 'slicked' the show up a bit and it just isn't as good as last season. IMO they should do an hour for each match-up. Then again, these first three have been pretty slow, would be hard to fill up an hour.
