  1. One word, chemistry. Or the lack thereof.
  2. They stopped making the color I want. :'(

I figured that would be the case. What was the native resolution on the monitor?
  4. Grow a pair of what? If anything, the use of a net enhances the likelihood of a fish living. How many times have you seen fish flopping around on the dry carpet of a BASS pro's boat?
  5. Hit Douglas last Monday night with some friends. 2 boats, 5 people. Weather was crap when we got there. Black clouds everywhere, occasional lightning, decent chop on the water. But we went out anyway. Storms were 3-4 miles away by my count. Eventually cleared up for a while before getting a few brief showers. The fish were biting early and late. We had 9 in the boat in about two hours, the biggest around 2-3 lbs. Fishing around point 5. Ran up the lake through a 20 MPH wind and white caps (thank goodness for my friend's 21 footer). Got up to the Dandridge bridge, our friends had come upon a pontoon boat just floating down the lake (came very close to hitting it). No one on board, no lights. Just a pair of shoes on the bow and beer & liquor littered all around the boat. They called the fish cops and we waited around till they got there. Headed upstream of the Dandridge bridge. Couldn't buy a bite for a while, then we got into them again. We got a few typical Douglas fish (12" or so), then we had a bit of fun. I was sitting in the back almost asleep. I would cast, let the worm settle, the put my chin on my chest and 'power nap'. I hear my buddy grunt, open my eyes, hear the fish splash, and jokingly say 'It's a giant!!!' (We had been joking about pro fishermen calling a 2 pounder a big one). He replies that it isn't all that big, then it jumps next to the boat. HOLY MOLY, IT IS A BIG ONE! I ran and grabbed the net while he tried to keep it hooked up. Took a while to get it into the net, but net her we did. 21", 5 lbs. Really good fish for Douglas. I've got a few photos, but haven't processed them yet. The five of us ended up with around 50 for the night. Plastic worms (finesse worm, trick worm, Ol' Monster, U-Tail), cranks, spinnerbaits, and buzzbaits were the baits of choice for the night. Can't wait to get back down there next Sat. night for our club's tournament. I feel like I've got a good chance of finishing in the money. Just depends on what boater I draw tomorrow.

What is the native resolution of the new monitor? To ascertain what resolution you are currently running, right click on an open area of the desktop, the click on Properties. Once the Display Properties box is open, go to the Settings tab. Screen resolution slider should be in the lower left corner. Set that to the native resolution of the monitor.
  9. I don't know about this one. I live and work around several cow farmers. They are operating in the black instead of the red now. But that does not make me happy about paying $3.50 to $4.00 a gallon at Wal-Mart for milk. I've been paying $3.50-4.00 a gallon for as long as I can remember.
  10. 8 lb. PLine CXX 8 lb. Stren Original I've tried several different lines on the Stradic, it likes everything.
  11. Inflation isn't really to blame. There is the cost of transportation (oil & gas) and the cost of production. The latter is increasing a great deal due to increased demand for corn (ethanol production).
  12. Love my chocolate milk.
  13. It just happens that the builder has got best of ICAST 5 times. What does that have to do with anything? Even the best drop a turd from time to time.
  14. Glad I wasn't the only one. :-X
  15. Team Daiwa Advantage, and it's actually cheaper at $99 MSRP Got it, tried it, Citica is better.
  16. You left the best part of that video out.
  17. How did you return the rod? Did you ship it back yourself, or did you go through their website?
  18. I have been very very happy with the Okuma Guide Select 7'11 H. It will throw baits a country mile. Heck, I've even used it to do a little flipping with a 3/8 oz. jig. Throws that just as well as it throws the big baits.
  19. Depends on the host.
  20. Bolivar only had a day and a half to practice, while I'm sure Nixon has fished that pond more than a few times. It was fun to watch.
  21. I broke a PC66MHF last Monday night. Very anxious to see how quickly they can get it back to me.
  22. Show me a better reel for that price and I'll buy 3 of them.
  23. I'll give you a roll of Skoal and 2 bologna and mayo sandwiches for it...
  24. Took long enough...
