1. Frog - typically the Pad Crasher or KVD. 2. Swim Jig - I really like the one's from Greenfish Tackle. 3. Super Fluke - White Ice or Pearl 4. Spinner bait - Typically Terminator T1 or War Eagle. Although the Lucky Craft SKT Spinnerbait Crazy Colorado Willow in Baby Bluegill was a real good one for me this year! 5. KVD 1.5 Squarebill - Various colors Honorable mention - Berkley 7" Power Worm.

I'm going to pick a couple of their reels up to give them a try. Any recommendations on which model to try? I think I'll start with a 6.3:1 or 7.0:1 for my basic soft plastics setup.

Caught up on the first two episodes yesterday. It was funny how in week one only a couple of guys were catching fish flipping. Week two, most of them were flipping and the weights showed the difference. Bigger fish too. I also noticed how some of the anglers were too stubborn to change what they were doing when they were floundering. Does anyone know what the top water bait was that Ott was throwing later in the week 2 episode?

Some of these bait companies need a serious reality check on some of these prices on baits! Holy crap!

My favorites are Terminator and War Eagle. I do have some older Strike Kings that I still throw from time to time. I prefer the 3/8 oz. double willow blade for most applications. White, white/chart, white/chart/blue are my top colors. War Eagle has a color that I found to work really well for me. Gold double willow blades in the Sun Perch color. That color outfished all of the others last season. Good luck and have fun!

Take that Pit Boss and Texas rig it on a 4/0 EWG worm hook w/ a 3/16 or 1/4oz. weight and hang on!

Day three is complete. KVD has led all three days. Total weight so far, 66lbs. 7oz. 11 of the final day Top 12 have over 60lbs! KVD...Stiil the man!

Just relating my experience and my frustration with that bait.

Not sure if I got one from a bad batch or not but, I'll be checking the rest of them tomorrow.

I was fishing a brand new KVD 1.5 last night and proceeded to hook and lose 3 bass in a row. I checked the hooks and they couldn't have been more dull! Is it too much to ask for a company to put a decent hook on a bait? I think it's ridiculous to have to replace the hooks on a brand new bait! Charge me another $.75 for the bait and put some hooks on it that are worth using! A company the size of Strike King should have the integrity to put a decent hook on their baits. SMH!
