Hottest Rod On The Planet
LOL, you say you haven't even used the *** or the fenwick rods or even , and you say this? Anyway, if you like the inferno, try out the powell endurance. It can be had for $150. Better blank, much better guides, higher quality and only a bit more in price.

I Understand The Baitcasters Design Now.
It is almost perfect.. I think all reels should have a dual bearing supported pinion gear, or at least the power fishing sized reels; the finesse reels don't need the extra bearing IMO.

How Do I Get This Out Of My Reel?
What reel do you have?

Icast 2014
-New daiwa zillion reel -New daiwa zillion rods -Maybe a new lew's reel -13 Concept KP reel -New 13 "muse" high end rods -A new abu garcia rod in the $100 or so price point that is green if I remember correctly. Chris lane was using them at the recent tourney in Fl. I have also heard deep rumblings of a dobyns rod at the $100 or so price point. I have also heard that there might be a new citica.

Bass Tackle Depot?
Yeah, they are a bit slow, but they probably have a smaller staff compared to TW or BPS or others. Also, they probably receive 300-500 or more orders on holidays, so you can't blame them for being a bit slow. I am guessing the first 100 or so orders were shipped out the next day.

St. Croix 6'8 M Xfast Mojo Vs 13 Omen 6'7 M Fast
Will be used for small t-rigs, wacky rigs, assorted soft plastics, and maybe some small spinnerbaits too. The xf action on the mojo felt really nice in store because it had a soft tip but shut off quickly. I am worried it won't be able to handle the lighter stuff as well since it won't load up as much. Also, St. Croix M power rods seem to have a lot of wobble in them and are not too crisp, but I never tested that when I was in store and held one.

New Basspro Prolite
Well, there is a new BPS pro lite. I can't say I am very excited though. Yeah, it is light in weight, but that wasn't the nice thing about the old prolite. The old prolite was known as a fairly good finesse bait caster at a great price. The spool on the new prolite holds 130 yards of 12 lb line. That is more than the PQ holds, and they are calling it a prolite?!? This is just speculation as it could be a great finesse caster; I have never used it. http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Prolite-Special-Baitcast-Reel/product/1311080716303/

My Day
Sounds like a great day! Sometimes keeping it simple catches the most fish.

Confidence The #1 Bait
I'd say a crankbait -- both lipped and lipless. I always feel confident throwing a crankbait, and I am 100% for the whole confidence thing.

Knots In Braided Mainline
did you backlash? Try pulling pretty hard on each side of the knot to see if it will pop untied. Sometimes those turn out to be loops style knots that can easily be pulled out.

Diawa Tatula Vs Lews
oooooookkkkkk lol

Lews Bb1 Pro
Flush the bearings and reoil with high speed oil. This will make it so you need to raise your brake settings a bit more to control the cast, which will allow you to raise the brake settings without harming your distance since the bearings will be able to spin longer and hold their speed better. Then tighten the spool tension up so the spool doesn't wobble but a mm or two. Also, put a drop of oil on a Q-tip and rub that around the metal surface that the internal centrifugal brakes rub against. Cast it and see if it still makes the noises.

Bass Weight Estimate
I'd say 4-5.. Judging by your profile pic, you are young, and look to have small hands. In the pic, your hand seems pretty big next to that fishes mouth.

Strike King Red Eye Shad Lipless Crank Bait Depth?????????
How deep do you let it go? It sinks. It has no max depth.

Diawa Tatula Vs Lews
Tatula is my preference over any lew's tourney MG. Tatula has a dynamic magnetic braking system whereas the MG has a linear. In the tatula, the braking force tapers down throughout the cast so at the end of the cast, very little force is put on the spool. This maximizes distance. With the MG, the braking system is linear meaning the brakes are in a line in the sideplate, and they don't move at all. The same braking force is applied at the beginning and end of the cast. This will reduce your distance a lot. I have used Lew's reels, and I hated them. Most finicky reels I have ever used. If you are planning on using fluoro, I'd stay away from Lew's reels. The tatula can easily handle stiffer fluoro lines.

Bps Crankin' Stick Advice
Alright thanks. I think I am going to get the 7'6 medium for the extra distance with heavier baits. I'm just waiting for BPS to have them on sale.

Fast Vs. Extra Fast
If you use braid you will get bad hook ups since there will be virtually no give it the rod/line.

Bps Crankin' Stick Advice
Roughly how much longer is the handle of the 7'6 vs the 7? The handle length of the 7'6 is not pictured on bps. Goose, would you say the 7'6 medium could easily handle a 1/2 rat-l-trap? What weight lure would you say overpowers the the 7'6 medium? Thanks for all the help so far BTW. It is much appreciated!

I Lost My Favorite Crankbait
I wouldn't call that almost getting bit... LOL. It was probably a water snake. Water snakes tend to do that often. They will just come up and look at you for a few seconds.
