I've lost a few Vision 110's. $25 is about all I'll pay for a lure, and like other members have replaced Megabass with less expensive brands. Like @Munkin, I've lost a couple rigs overboard. Each around $300. It stung, but I got over it.

I don't count NH because I only fished it a few times and don't know the waters. I know going in I'm not likely to catch much of anything at new waters until I get a lot of time at each.

I'll call this season for the Sox a success. They seemed to turn back into a TEAM and played like they wanted to win after trading Devers. Now let's hope the Bruins make the playoffs.

1,400+ is fewer? Catching 1,400 bass around here would take me seven or eight years, easily. I fish mostly from Boston to Cape Cod. We don't fish anywhere near each other.

My '25 isn't over yet, but to date, it's been a big disappointment. To date, I've caught only 72 bass and drew a goose-egg 32% of my trips. If it weren't for white and yellow perch, that number would probably double. It seems the bass disappeared from my waters, and no matter what I tried, I really couldn't find them or a bait they liked. Other anglers I talked to shared similar experiences. We agree that something was 'OFF' this year. I fished NH and VT more this year, which was no better. I had a lot of help from better anglers with experience up there, but nothing came of it. I'm still on track to catch fish in open water every month of this year, but to grade 2025, I'd give it a D.

I know fall is upon us when water temps hit the 50's and I have to pack my Milwaukee heated sweatshirt if I head out before dawn. Besides that, I have to wear long pants AND underwear !!!!! 😝

You'll need a second mount and power harness. The transducer will have to be on a removable mount too. I use a RAM mount for my side scan transducer that mounts on the accessory rail on either or my kayaks. I use the same disconnect for power that my Battery Tender uses, making my battery box removable. So, to answer your question, yes, switching between boats is easy.

I use Lowrance and have experience with Garmin. I find Lowrance easier to use than Garmin. I’ll give screen/picture quality to Garmin. You’re a member of the plastic Navy? A 7” or 9” graph should work fine. I have a 7” graph on my kayak and power it with a 24aH lithium battery. I get about three days fishing between charges. I have 9” & 12” units on my Ranger w/FFS that the bait monkey made me buy. If marking waypoints is a high priority, I suggest a unit with side imaging. You’ll see to your left and right and can mark structure more accurately. If you have a Bass Pro, Cabelas, or alike near you go see the different brands in person and play with them. Installation between brands is going to be similar across the board. As far as price points go, you get what you pay for. Best of luck picking out your graph.

My Live Target is giving me fits. I spent most of yesterday troubleshooting it and upgrading to a bigger-er battery. I figured I'd stay reasonably close. I launched around 1100 and was off the water by 1230. I'm still having some issues with my AT and couldn't get myself focused to really fish. It was windy and water temps were 57.x. This lake is normally very weedy. Most of the salad was pretty much dead & rotting. I didn't mark much of anything where I travelled on the lake. It won't be a problem if I have to send my AT and FS12 to Lowrance. The season't winding down and I'll likely just use my kayak when I get out.

Sean Snover, of ReelNorthernBass gave me a couple locations in VT. I marked a lot more large arches than any water down here. The best I could muster was a three pound largemouth and a handful of 'lightweights'.

My trip to NH was pretty lackluster. I hit four ponds in the Laconica area. I went back to the lake Sean Snover and I fished a couple weeks ago. I managed 5 SMB with two over two pounds. Winds were light until lunch then wound up to around 15 mph. I only marked fish in a channel between two islands. Day two was a new Lake where I caught a SMB, just over two pounds, on a 4" perch Senko. I lost a bigger one on a knot failure with an orange and brown tube. Winds were 20 mph after an hour or so so I beat feet and went to a small pond by the VT border. I didn't mark much of anything and beat the skunk with a micro perch on a chrome/gold Stunna 112. After five hours of tossing everything I could think of, I packed it in. This morning was short. I started to launch at my planned lake but the water was so low and dirt/mud ramp in such bad condition I didn't dare launch for fear I wouldn't be able to get back on the trailer. My backup water was 20 minutes away, so off I went. Between gear and Active Target problems, I folded my tent and left after an hour. My AT has been problematic since I installed it. Bass Fishing Electronics was very helpful helping me troubleshoot it. They believe my house battery is too small and recommended a lithium replacement. I really don't want to spend $1,100+ to remedy an already expensive piece of gear. Right now I'm leaning towards just taking it out and selling it off. Had I known how voltage/power sensitive FFS is, I would never have bought it. I have only two more fish to catch this year. One in November and another in December. I know exactly where to go and I'll need only a blade bait. 2025 has been such a bust, I'm glad it's almost over. ADD: I forgot to add that water temperatures were in the low 60’s and air pressure was 30.2. I also saw pairs of bald eagles at two of the four lakes.

Cape Cod usually doesn't freeze over. Last winter was the first in the last six years I had to break my auger out.

I catch my biggest bass in February and March and and a GOOD trip for me is four or more bass. My skill level seems to have peaked out at two or three bass per trip. I don't believe I live near waters that produce huge numbers either, even though most aren't very pressured. My BP Larry, just over six pounds, came from my 'home' pond and my best Sally, just over five pounds, came from Mash-Wake on Cape Cod. I started to fish NH more this year but still haven't enjoyed any greater success than what I catch in MA. Hopefully that will change with more hours up north.
