  1. Good for you. You don't need negative people like that in your life I bought a bunch of crankbaits, some Plano boxes, plastics and terminal tackle. What was with Abrazx being "on sale" for $40 for a 200 yard spool? its $20 all day at TW.
  2. Megabass Orochi XX spinnerbait special, Curado I HG, 30# braid for all three.
  3. I have the spinnerbait special. The tapers of these rods are unique. Very multi purpose type rods. Very nice.
  4. Nice writeup. What are your thought on the new Team Lite?
  5. tell me about it. I ordered a Conquest Sunday and got it Wednesday morning. How is that even possible?
  6. Its amazing how much cheaper and faster the shipping from Japan is than BPS. I ordered from another JDM site and got the reel in two days for $11 shipping with no customs fees either. Beware, the rare Japanese Bait Monkey is even deadlier than the American version..
  7. its my primary jig reel. Like everyone else says its fantastic. On one of the JDM sites its also $283 new. I may get another.
  8. Optima double diamond or keitech.
  9. Bait Monkey ate my wallet. Dobyns 705CB Loomis NRX 803JWR Loomis NRX 893JWR Daiwa SSSV I am thinking of waiting to get a Metanium DC for the Dobyns when it comes out.
  10. 702 vote here. It's one of the special rods in the DX line.
  11. Hey guys. I was looking around for some hook sizing info and there seems to be a lot of different information and variation among different manufacturers. I was thinking that maybe we can start a stickied thread with a list of the actual measurements of the hooks along with a list of different hardbaits and which size trebels they use. I'm sure like myself, people have difficulties buying hooks online without actually being able to see the size of them. Also the 1 vs 1/0 is also confusing. Obviously this could end up containing a rediculous amount of information so maybe we could just limit it to the more common manufacturers and lures used by most on the board. Unfortunatly, I do not have any packaged hooks to measure right now but will be getting some soon. Anyway, does this seem like something that could come in handy here?
  12. They seemed to have misspelled Shimano on that reel...
  13. I am also looking at getting a 705cb. From all that I have been reading you may want the 765. The extra length helps with the larger baits. I am looking at fishing 0-10' so I think I am getting the 705. I would like the 765 but being a rider in the club with longer rods on some smaller boats sucks. Going with glass or graphite?
  14. Half the fun of fishing to me is the gear. The unknown of what else may be better, while expensive, is still fun. What else am I going to waste my money on? Can it be done on cheaper stuff? Sure. Will I do it? No.
  15. I was out today. Before the wind got a few pickerel and some dinks. Best fish went for around 3 pounds on a white chatterbait. I have a tournament on the flats in the wind tomorrow. Should be interesting.
  16. I'll be on sciver tomorow. Tracker 165 here.
  17. Those are extra brake blocks. The different colors are for different brake force.
  18. I have not been out in a few weekends there and you guys aren't exactly making me want to go lol. I haven't fished manor much because of all of the shallow rock piles to kill the prop. Morrisville is an interesting option.
  19. I have been looking at that reel. Doesnt seem too bad of a price for a Daiwa. How would you compare it to an Alphas? I would like to try an NRX eventually. As far as a dream reel.. Maybe that new LTD red and black Steez just because it looks badass lol
  20. I am going to Conowingo tomorrow. My buddy's dad got a good one on sciver today but only one.
  21. I'm debating on heading out Sunday. Let me know if you guys get anything sat. The weather has been all over the place so I'm wondering how the bite will be.
  22. Came to the dark side and got my first Daiwa. Alphas Type R. Let's see how I like it..
  23. My head hurts. Like said above I just guestimate. If it required that much thought I would probably never use braid lol. Thats good calculating by you though.
