Well guys, I talked to Gary at TTT and he was super helpful. I pulled the trigger on the on the spinnerbait special and a Curado I. I am going to pair it with a Core 50 or the Curado. I will let you know what I think. Thanks again for the input.

Got three LM in upper Van Sciver Sunday. All on jigs close to shore. Largest was 3lbs even

Thanks for the replies guys. I wish somewhere near me had them so I can get my hands on it. I plan to run 30lb braid and a 12lb leader as long as it will fit. I really want to run a braid/fluoro combo so if I can't use this with the micro guides it will be a deal breaker to me.

Have you fished the XX? If so what are your thoughts?

Anyone have any experience with these rods? I have been reading rave reviews and am debating on getting one, the only problem is I don't know which one will suit my needs. I am looking for kind of an all purpose rod mainly for t-rigs, spinnerbaits and chatter baits. Also I see that these are micro guide rods but do not appear to be in the league of Duckett guides. Would running braid with a leader be an issue? Thanks guys Frank

Duckett Micro Magic in heavy. If you want to run braid then get the Macro magic.

Anyone looking to meet up there? I have never been to an Elite event and would like to go check it out. I do not live far from the weigh in spot.

That thing must fly with a 115 on it. I have a 16' thats only maxed out at 50hp. Best info I can offer is to buy the largest of everything you want to get. Wether its electronics screen, trolling motor etc. This way you won't have any regrets later.

E series Shimano will be fine. However the 5x ratio I find to be too slow for anything other than deep cranking. I would go with at least a 6x.

Rough day on sciver. Saw bait everywhere but only managed two between my buddy and I. Mainly was targeting deep structure. After hours of nothing we went to Manor for a little bit and again saw bait everywhere. We got two decent fish from the shallows (1-3 FOW) on the edge of the lillys. Fish came on spinnerbait, Chatterbait and drop shot. I may be there tomorrow or Conowingo.

I am also a member. I will be on Sciver tomorrow. It has been a tough year for me. lots of 3+ being caught but only one 4lber nothing bigger. Last year my buddy and I did very well with most fish pushing 4 lbs. Most success has been with flipping jigs in cover.

I just traded my Ci4 for a Core. No regrets here. The 50 series is so comfortable.

Is the Adelbaran MG just a JDM Core?

Well I traded my Chronarch Ci4 for a Core 50MG7. I have not fished it yet but I must say that this reel just fits my hands so well. It's so small and light. Now I just have to decide if I want to use it on my jig rod instead of my Metanium.. I am officially a Shimano junky.

Thanks guys. I do have the plug installed. So it appears that I do have it too low. If i raise it and line the seam on the teansducer with the bottom of the hull I should be good? The thing to the left was from the orig. speedo. it is not sticking off of the transom very far. maybe 1/4 inch. It does't pass the transducer mounting bracket.

Hey I am having some issues with my 798. For one I am getting a slight rootster tail when on plain also some times I am getting a streak through the left side of the side imaging almost like jack plate interference. Here are a few pics of my mounting. It is almost in the exact spot that my old one was. I am not sure if I have it too low?

I assume you were looking at a Duckett Ghost for $100? The white ice is $200. The Duckett is a good rod but if using braid and a leader with micro guides its tough.
