  1. I love the winter fishing. Quite serene usually all alone on the water. Light wind, little bit of snow falling, I`m in heaven. Take care of the honey do`s in the heat of summer.. C22
  2. I just finished battling a 34" fat striper into the net while drifting under a bridge. Fish still in the net flopping,I hear a voice from up on the bridge ask"did you just catch that here". I was speechless and just gave it thumbs up.
  3. I`m happy to not see gray milky colored stuff coming out.
  4. I have a Yammie 115 with the pee tube that comes from the upper port side. It had a small saddle that allowed water to remain and thus would not evacuate totally even with engine down.I shortened it enough to have a sweeping bend to completely drain . No more freezing probs. Heres a thought. For those able to drain more water at home as mentioned, could that be condensation that formed on the way home.=warm engine ===cold air? C22
  5. Great post,I am so envious. That jack has the same lines as a bluefish. If many hard core bassers could experience some good salt fishing,it would open their eyes to a whole new world. Some of it is stupid easy ,but often it presents all the complexities of bassin. I started to split my time between fresh/salt about 25 yrs ago and never looked back.I was throwing standard bass lures at them long ago with great success. As said before ,if I could take the Florida heat I would move there to experience the diversities of species it presents. C22
  6. Some hogs there and serious pullage too. Whats the favorite baits. Why do you mention surviving. Is it freeze out or life expectancy. C22
  7. Thanks, btw all fish released. I went to the other pond and it proved to be as tough as ever. I landed 4 crappies, 1 pickerel==no bass
  8. I had a nice mix today including yellow perch(6), crappies(5) pickerel(8) lmb1) for 2.5 hrs fishing The bait of choice was jerks, LC 78 & LC 65 both in ghost color. The cookie cutter crappies were all at 13" and one pic was 25" Perch liked a 3" paddle tail on a trout eye jig head. It was SO GOOD to get out for some pullage today. Gonna try a different pond later that is known to be tough but has good lmb. C22
  9. Darn,as much stuff as I buy from them I would expect a personal phone call about this sale. As of now I don`t need anything. C22
  10. Sounds like your into some incredible catchin down there. Is the snookin better in winter or summer. C22
  11. Yep,T 101 w/ice or nothing.I used to keep a bottle in the freezer, jeeezzee, had to stop doing that.It was to easy to reach. Wouldn`t even start a camp fire with the 80??
  12. I used to use a lot of black hair jigs 1/16 to 1/4 and seldom ever used any thing on them. The river smallies couldn`t get enough of them. Once in a while a Josh 101 pork was on. Locally without a river to fish anymore the pond fish like them too. C22
  13. That is pretty wild. Do you catch any pc flac. Most of the time the funds come right out of Dads pocket one way or another. Some of our volunteer fire co`s throw some gun bashes for 40 or 50 guns, cash every 1/2 hr,even a Harley one time. They sell all the tickets all the time. C22
  14. Wow,that is crazy good. Beautiful fish, never had seen one. C22
  15. Sounds like the hitch wasn`t down on the ball.I always use a master lock on the hitch for many reasons. HA HA,laughing at myself,no one else.I dragged a battery charger 1/4 mile down the road one morning. It knocked the rubber tabs off the bottom, but still worked later. C22
  16. When I think back about all the early on T`s I fished as a boater with so many strangers that I was liable for,it just gives me chills. One nice little circuit I fished was crushed by some toad. He asked the T director /sponsor "who do I sue if I get hurt" That ended the circuit mid season. I have a friend that was sued by his rider. The rider had previous back trouble that was found out so the case was dismissed. Seriously ,know who you are responsible for. Hope the young one heals quickly. C22
  17. This thread is always good for a laugh. I missed the show when BF was captured. Did that cage hold him/her/it
  18. Get the "free" axle and keep it for when and if you need it. Meantime use a grinder with a cup brush to clear the rust then give it a coupla good coats of cold galvanized spray paint, available at Lowes err I mean Home Depot. Remember if you do replace the axle it will have an up side that must be observed . It should be marked on the unit. Also those shackle bolts may be rusting too. If left alone you may have trouble getting them off to the point of destruction and replacing them. Maybe put some lube on them for the winter. Hope this helps C22
  19. I manage the brushes with two knife blades. That tool looks handy.
  20. It is the elusive "carposorus"
  21. Fortunately mine still works fine. I may have to take up your suggestion in the future. Thanks
  22. Alum hull, max size 4 stroke tiller, elect start,trim//tilt,stainless Skegard, galvanized bunk trailer,14" wheels with a drop axle.12/24 v t motor hand control.< a BIG ONE Plenty of lockable storage in the gunwales with 9" top surface . One livewell in front.Duel bilge pumps A lockable alum box attached to port side to house electric panel, depth finder, pliers, ect.Remote gps receiver. am/fm/cd radio I almost described my 16/6 Pro Vee Lund. Love that boat. If you have a 24v. or 36 v. t motor, a problem with any one battery may shorten your day. Also with a engine start fail, the 3 batteries[1 start==2 t motor]just might get you home.I choose the hand motor because I can`t perch on one leg like the past. I know you can sit down,I just don`t do it. With the tiller it leaves all the open space you can ask for. I would love to have one of those west coast all alum boats with a self bailing deck. Some of them have 1/4" plate hulls
  23. Hey! that's my line, but I`ll share
  24. Fish for breakfast maybe once a month is OK by me.These pan fried gills only need the skeleton removed which is real easy. Yum
