  1. You'll never see "hard data" on sensitivity because sensitivity is subjective. Fluorocarbon is a tool. I feel it transmits vibration and slack line bites better than nylon monofilament line, so I use it. Have you ever felt a bite while fixing a backlash? It's neat.
  2. Fury 735? Sounds lovely. I find plenty of use for heavy power rods in MI. We get some nasty pads in summer.
  3. SV is like Samuel Adams: always a good decision. Certain SV spools/reels are "over braked" and don't excel at long distance casting. Heavier spools may give you better distance and control when casting a heavy and aerodynamic lure such as a 3/4 oz lipless. I do not know if the Tatula SV has this issue.
  4. 795 Fury is probably what you're after. It's a surprisingly nice rod for the price. If you want to spend serious scratch, Megabass has a few rods that would excel in the areas you mentioned. I would be thinking Black Jungle Power Versatile or Destroyer Faust.
  5. I get those in warm weather. Some kind of allergy. If they are bad, hydrocortisone helps.
  6. Very good chance I'll have the FMJ after Memorial Day. It's going to either complement or replace an NRX 853.
  7. Nice rod. Frogs well. Not crazy about the reel seat and such; sort of a Fuji component snob. Backbone is definitely there. Tip could be a bit softer but you can't have it all at the price point. Not sure how it would compare to something like a Fury 735, which should be on your list as well.
  8. Bearings could also be greasy. What sort of lure weight are you trying?
  9. Zodias 7'2 H for those jigs. Definitely not a baseball bat.
  10. Probably do alright with something like CXX. Or bring another rod/reel, reel, or spare spool with mono for topwater. Or just fish poppers with fluoro, which is interesting. You get some mighty good bloops out of a lure that way.
  11. I fell for this thread and I hate you. A lot.
  12. Hmm. Harley Ensign is like 45 minutes from me, but I do like feeding lures to Pike.
  13. The 100, Maybe, but the spool is still very good. The 103 or 105 can just get an sv spool themselves.
  14. What's this? A Menace for ants?
  15. The Ayu looks nice in the water. They need a moderate to fast retrieve to move the tail though. The Pike haaaaaaaammer it.
  16. If she's had a disc or two sitting on her sciatic nerve for a few years, she probably feels amazing right now. How long has it been since surgery?
  17. Sv103 or Zillion sv tws would. Tatula sv maybe. Sv105 also.
  18. Water is way up at Kensington and pretty dirty. Going to get out this weekend and see how many glides and Magdrafts I can feed to the Pike. Running out of time to find a 5 or 6 before prespawn ends.
  19. If you're paying MSRP, it's very hard to argue with the Tatula SV. Probably get a Huk shirt out of the deal if that promotion is still going.
  20. Nope. Definitely don't have 12 lb Red Label on two rods with a jig tied to each. Nope. Not me.
  21. I had some and I swear it sinks. The blue/green pattern is awesome though.
  22. Depends on the hook of your jigs and wire of your spinnerbaits. 12 lb red label works.
