Everyone here will reply about their own stories but either 1. Wont mention when theyve been in wrong or 2. Didnt realize when they were. Maybe the other boat didnt realize how close and thought they gave enough room or maybe on the way to the cove you blew by them or ran over their spot without realizing and they felt like you think you own the lake. Two sides to a story and sometimes its best to approach with a calm voice and ask clear and appropriate questions. Ive had a couple run ins with ******** who ended up wishing me a good evening after we cut through the hotheadedness

Used 8 pound for first time on my tdz/steez combo recently. Casting 3/8oz jigs to heavy heavy wood cover and brought in a 5 pounder no problem from the thick stuff. The 8lb is rated to like 13 pounds. No KVDLL and it casts like a dream.

1. Dont go too heavy (i use 1/4oz) 2. Make contact with anything you can Pretty simple honestly

Mska has most tournaments at least 4 hours one way from my location. Not worth it.

Anyone ever fish it before? Ive been looking everywhere for kayak tournaments in WV but havent found anything suitable. I looked into online tournaments and found the kayak bass series. $55 entry fee with regional championship being on a WV lake.

Ill put in earbuds and listen to hiphop/r&b/rock or if there is nobody around ill play it out loud. Helps me stay focused and get into a rhythm. Sometimes I dont want to hear music though but some places I fish have traffic or planes as the "sound of nature" so I choose the music.

The listed pound test for YZ is about 4.5 pounds (give or take .5) less than what it really is. 8lb tests close to 13 pounds. Also if you compare line diameters the 8lb yz is similar size to sunline sniper 12lb and Pline cx premium (copoly) 12lb. Yz simply lists their pound test low so average joe gets impressed when his 10 pound line brings in a car hood.

The frame material and paint is quite fragile which is one reason why finding one in good quality is rare. But it can cast a weightless soft jerkbait a mile with abec7 bearings and good cleaning

Good condition tdz is about $150 But you wont find one

Zman freedom with a soft jerkbait trailer I find that the jerkbaits have a nice fluttering motion to them while some paddletails cant kick well due to water disturbance of blade and skirt.

This is playing out exactly as I called it a couple pages ago. Random Tennessee river chain fisherman Ott Defoe finds a group of em and sacks 30lbs. Couple rookies, a couple crankers, a couple highland reservoir guys near the top. Everyone can locate bass now a days and everyone can flip and pitch with a heavy setup...large grass lakes are an even playing field.
