  1. Well then call me Old McDonald cuz that's one pig that will be on my farm!!
  2. YES!! The green knobs are back!!!
  3. The hook up tackle
  4. The Northstar Flip'n swim was made to flip/pitch as an initial presentation then swam back to the boat. Nothing saying you couldn't hop it all the way back.
  5. Check out Northstar Custom Baits as well
  6. I love northstar jigs. They were just sold and relocated from Minnesota to Wisconsin but I gotta tell ya, the quality is still the same top notch attention to detail that it's always been.
  7. The fish really are the deciding factor. That being said, I tend to fish senkos around more shallow cover like docks and in between pads where as I'll throw power worms a bit deeper. They get the nod fishing deeper weed edges and stuff like that. Humps too!
  8. Basspatrol, you're referring to a swing jig head. This was popularized with the Biffle Head and allows your plastic to have a more free range of motion.
  9. I know, I know. That's trump any day of the week. Just a really nice piece.
  10. I always buy lefties thinking I'll learn to live with it but never can. But that IS.... It'll be a race between Adam and I to jump on it!
  11. I didn't see anything about the blank. Just that a prototype was being tested.
  12. If it's sub $500 I too will take a long hard look at doing this same thing.
  13. Dobyns threw out a teaser saying they're working on a new chatterbait rod. They didn't mention what series but I'd venture to guess Champion. I don't think we'll see it at iCast but you never know. As far as the new Fuego goes, the aesthetics may not be the prettiest but from the specs I'm thinking it's targeted at being a workhorse like the OG Zillion. Only time will tell of course, but this iCast will be better for Daiwa (in my opinion) than last year.
  14. Zillion Type R or Steez w/SV spool
  15. Definitely doesn't sound like operator error. I've had my Procyon EX for nearly a year and have not experienced any issues with it.
  16. I just got a RCS SV 1000 Deep from JLS for $83.57. Pretty sure the RCS shallow is the same price.
  17. ^^^ Agreed! I would never swim a craw imitator just below the surface but a buddy of mine has done this and whacked fish. Good for him! (Even if it does look goofy)
  18. The general consensus will point you to the 735 as it seems like 99% of us use a dobyns 735 in one series or the other for frogs.
  19. As far as matching the hatch goes, size has been the biggest factor for me. I'll start the day throwing 5" worms and by the end of the day the fish tell me they want 3". I attribute that to smaller forage in that particular area. I usually fish pretty natural colors to begin with so I feel pretty set color wise. Just my .02¢
  20. I wish I wasn't so far away! There are a few clubs in Jacksonville but all the fishing is up around you all.
  21. I've been in search of water in eastern NC for nearly four years. The best I've found is around Raleigh. Falls, Jordan and Shearon-Harris are all good bodies of water.
  22. There's also the blizzard pond chain. These are pay ponds too but that's the extent of my knowledge of them.
  23. Good luck finding bass in the local area. I've tried for the past few years! Your best bet is the quarry lakes off of 17 towards Maysville. Last time I was there it was $5 an angler. There may have been a reduced rate for children. I've never caught much there but there are people that do. The best bass fishing in the area is about 2 hours away near Raleigh.
  24. I've got the older version of that same combo but with a full grip. It was my very first spinning combo so I've got soft spot for it! It sees duty throwing 5" weightless senkos and jerkbaits along the lines of Xrap XR08s. I can't complain about it in any fashion. Spooled with 8-10lb stren original it has boated more bass for me than I can count. It's just fun to throw.
