  1. Toho is only about 20 mins away also.
  2. You can try putting a lubricant or vaseline on your guides, should prevent the line from freezing to it.
  3. Are you using the regular shroomz heads or the finesse shroom heads? Also what weight?
  4. Overfished as in people are keeping a lot of fish, or just a lot of pressure? If it is just pressure, bass are still predators and still going to eat. Just have to try something different. I personally fish a lot slower on highly pressured lakes than others. I also either use much bigger baits or much smaller baits.
  5. I'd get the 6'9" ML Johnny Morris Carbonlite - option 2
  6. Not true at all. Huge bluegill often mean the bass can't eat the giant bluegill, which in turn leaves an unlimited breeder of baitfish (baby bluegill) for bass to eat
  7. By the way, with all the rain this summer, a true thermocline never really set up and the fish never really got that deep on the rock, resulting in the fish being scattered all over the place this fall. Reports have fish being caught anywhere from the shallows to 25-30 ft deep.
  8. I'd have four set-ups working: Topwater : Buzzbait, Walking Bait, or the BASS open was just won on a whopper plopper Mid/Deep Crank - Wiggle Wart or Rock Crawler Jig & Craw Spinning - Ned RIg. Should have you covered.
  9. Buzzbait, Squarebill/Med Depth Crankbait, Jig.
  10. Blue, I just sent one of my Legend Tournaments in for a repair... How long did it take them to send you the rod back after you talked to them on the phone?
  11. Great, Great, Great rod. I have the 6'8 Med Heavy. Great all around rod, I mainly use it for Jigs. Also have the 6'8" Med X fast. great topwater/jerkbait,weightless rod. If you don't like the blue color, I've heard good things of the Avids as well.
  12. Did you buy them online? You probably got an email confirmation or something from paypal etc... Maybe try searching your inbox.
  13. Anyone have any info on seasonal movements of Bass in Ft. Gibson? Just trying to get a general idea of what areas of the lake the bass will be in during the fall season. Not looking for any specific spots neccessarily, just trying to get an understanding of where they typically go. Do they relate to wood in the backs of creeks, chunk rock on flats, points, channel swings etc.. Any info would be appreciated.
  14. I'll second what DVT says... Part of the effectiveness of the ned rig is a slack line no feel approach. With the Medium power or a higher modulus graphite rod, you might feel the bait too much and probably move the bait too much for ideal effectiveness.
  15. Yeah send Brad an email or give him a call, they wanted packets to be sent back in pretty quickly.
  16. You caught smallmouth bass at Busch Wildlife?
  17. The night before they held a drawing for pairings. First person drawn ran the first 4 hrs, then you switch front/back halfway through. Person in the front of the boat has authority over TM and big motor for their shift. No practice time, just show up and fish.
  18. Yeah, 25 boats is a lot to rent/transport to a lake without a lot of logistical support.
  19. Yeah, if i had to put money on it I'd say it would be in Oklahoma again this year. I was just passing on what Brad himself told a few of us last year @ Ft. Gibson.
  20. I wish... Last year they mentioned Wisconsin, but I don't know how official that was. I'm waiting anxiously for the info from Brad.
  21. Should be fun boys, best of luck and I'll see ya there.
  22. Beginning of May they would probably be starting to Spawn, don't think you would have much action on main lake stuff, but i guess that depends on the weather
