Yeah, haven't caught a lunker out of there, but there are a lot of healthy 2-3lbers in there.

If you are near downtown hit up Jefferson Lake in Forest Park. Lots of submerged weeds that provide nice shelter for bass. In the summer they stack up in the grass patch toward the middle of the lake.

Help Me Out Regarding My Fear Of Light Drag Setting
There is a switch on your spinning reel that when engaged, will only let you reel forward. It you turn it off, it will allow you to reel forwards and backwards,

Help Me Out Regarding My Fear Of Light Drag Setting
Great advice right here. I think Bass anglers try to force the fish in too fast sometimes, especially with spinning gear. How do you think trout anglers land 21"+ trout on 2lb line? - Backreeling and playing the fish correctly. Also, if you lost a fish on 14lb line, I highly doubt it was the drag that was your issue.

St. Louis Area Fishermen
If you are looking for a good bass lake, I don't know if Unger is the way to go. I caught one big one out of there last spring, but the lake is not managed by the Missouri Dept. Of Conservation, so any fish have to come from the river when it floods. It is very low right now and I don't think you will really catch much outside of asian carp, drum, or gar.

Right, I'll watch your wimpy football players limp off the field with high ankle sprains while nhlers play through broken ribs, broken feet, and pierced lungs. Get a life dude and take your insecurities about manhood somewhere else, Just because your too big of a lard ass to do any of these sports. Your shirt called, it wants its sleeves back to cover your flabby arms and tiny bass.

Diawa T3 Ballistic
I don't know if I just got a bad reel or what, but the inductor cup on my spool that is supposed to extended into the magnents during the cast doesn't want to stay in place, and results in an awful rattling sound during casts. I think i need to take it in to a warranty center. Other than that I like the reel.

T3 Ballistic Spool/ Magforce 3D Question
Its not the magnets, it is the inductor spool. Sometimes it takes a little force to pull it out, other times it just pops off with barely any force. I opened the sideplate to see what was making noise and the inductor cup was loose. I am just trying to see if anyone has had a similar issue and resolved it on there own before I sit on the phone with Daiwa.

T3 Ballistic Spool/ Magforce 3D Question
I have noticed when casting my T3 ballistic, it sounds as if the metal piece that is supposed to extended into the magnets from the spool is making a rattling around. It doens't sound very smooth at all. When I removed the side plate, the metal piece on the spool seems as if it has become dislodged from the spool. The c-clip still holds it in place, but it doesn't "stick" to the spool. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?

Panama City Bass
If you can find a lake to bass fish thats great, but I would suggest fishing for redfish or speckled trout in the St. Andrews Bay/ State park as it may be closer to you and easier to access. You can use lots of the sames bass tackle for these fish - rattletraps, flukes, topwaters, jerkbaits etc. Just be sure to rinse your equipment well after use in saltwater.

How Big Is This Bass In The Pic A Friend Sent Me?
Well if you assume your friend is of average height, he probably has a pants inseam measurment of at least 30". Considering the fish is in front of his shin, I don't see it being much longer than his knee to his foot, which in turn means this fish is NOWHERE NEAR 30".

Why didn't you fish the crankbaits around the timber, isn't that kind of ideal?

Garage Sale Wiggle Warts, Pre Rapala?
Yes, some guys will put suspend dots on the originals to make them suspend. Obviously, you just need to let the fish tell you how they like it. If you are fishing them in the right spots, I would also recommend a lure retriever
