  1. Def the LC Gunfish in ameerican shad!! throw it in boils and dominate!
  2. if i were you, I would try a jig, Fluke, and spinnerbaits. Depending on water clarity, figure out which color would be best. Darker condition= darker colors, Lighter conditions= lighter color.
  3. ..... on a serious note, get something that will do the job and last for years to come! good luck guy
  4. perfect! i have hundreds of senkos! almost in every color.
  5. Awesome man! Im just going from shore tomorrow. Im getting a tube, I seriously may go to turners and buy it. I was just there an hour ago. Where should I start from shore at murray? I only fished it once and I got a few dinks. What are your go to baits at murray. Im ready to get this 8" hudd in the water Of course when the time comes!

  8. thanks tom.. im going to fish it...
  9. I need some opinions. San Diego offers some of the best weather in the country, however its that time of the year when a little bit of rain falls upon us. So Im hitting a local lake tomorrow, being Lake Murray. When I usually start fishing early am my first bait is the frog. Second the senko , then the fluke, sweet beav, etc etc. Tomorrow's forcast is high 67, partly cloudy, Winds ssw 5to10. So my question is should i start off throwing the frog? I just got my new powell and Im anxious to get a bend on it. Thanks guys and gals.
  10. first impressions are great eagle. What i really like is that the butt is nice and fat for those two handed power cast!

Rage Tail makes awesome products, But i love my Sweet beavers more!
  12. This is very true........ If I were you i would invest in a frog rod..... I was using a 7'9 st.croix swimbait rod.. it was so tiring and couldnt walk it for nothing. i also use the spro frogs. I just bought a powell frog rod and its absolutely amazing, you can also throw jigs and C-rigs on it also. Point being invest in something that will help with the technique you are trying to achieve. I hope this helps bud.
  13. Here she is guys and gals!! aint she purttyyyy!!
  14. The only ones i have used so far is bass patrol. They are fantastic. $2.00 and some change and they catch fish. However I would like to try these siebert outdoors jigs. I hear alot of great things about them!
  15. If your starting early a.m, i would start to throw a some form of a topwater lure. Just be ready to work the entire water column. What i have rigged at all times when i fish a new lake is. Spinnerbait, Fluke, Senko, Dropshot, and a nice big huddelston. Thats just me. I would look for boils, in and around coves, points etc... Dont be afraid to throw the fluke in those boils. Just stay positive, and have fun..... TIght lines buddy!
  16. thanks guys for the warm welcoming...... i already feel home

  19. What frogs are you using? And you should be doing a sweeping hook set. That some heavy braid. You shouldnt need to much to set that hook. Like dink said, bend the hooks up a little. That will def help. good luck bud
