  1. If there is already that many posts about this topic, isn't our opinion already on the forums?
  2. The only bad experience I've had with any companies in the fishing industry is TW. It was only one instance. My wife was buying me a new reel and the card she was using did not match the name on the person on the invoice. The questioning on this was completely justified by TW. I guess I should just say the lady she talked to was hateful about the whole process. As much as I use the internet to fuel my fishing hobby I consider this one small instance a blessing.
  3. I imagine that it is a different change of place going from Tampa, FL to Altus, OK. Welcome to the fishing knowledge bank. Where you decide what is opinion or fact, but hey that's half the fun.
  4. Purcell has been my big project this winter/spring. I live in slaughterville so it is close to home. There are good size bass in Purcell, but sometimes they can be a little tricky to figure out. I have caught up to 6#ers out of Purcell. I have noticed I don't catch that many dinks. I don't catch them often, but when you do they are good size fish.
  5. Could be anyone. Hoping for the Sooners.
  6. My reaction to the booth with these at the next expo.
  7. I would have made an effort to fish at a collegiate level.
  8. Walt Disney is rolling over in his grave right now because of you. I hope you're happy! LOL jk
  9. I have had my card compromised twice. First was $500 second was $200. Second time was $200 worth of gas in Mississippi somewhere. I just pictured them inviting all there family and friends to the pump. "Come down on 87th I got the hookup on gas" Money was sorted out in about a week. I gotta tell you though as a college student a week without that money was rough.
  10. See I don't personally own a boat. Every time I have been up there it's been on someone else's boat so I would have to beat the bank, but I'm sure there are places. Also she has lots of reading to catch up on. If you don't mind me asking how long does the expo take? Can it turn into a half-day sort of thing?
  11. If I make the drive I will come have dinner/supper/snack/source of energy with yall. But please understand it is a 100% chance that there is a 50% chance I will be attending.
  12. From what I see everything is free? Weigh in and expo? Can I keep my wife entertained all day?
  13. From my experience on Grand if you find them it's great fishing. If you don't its long rides in the boat. Like bluebasser said they should be starting to move back into those pockets. One last cold front on Tuesday and Wednesday next week could mess with some patterns. I am thinking of making the trip up there to check out what the classic is all about. I have fished Grand a handful of times, but would like to experience the Bassmaster Classic.
  14. Now that's a barn door!
  15. Challenging: Trying to get a bite, find a place to fish, and the enemy of a angler WIND!!! Rewarding: Big fish, Nature
  16. Congrats Mike! don't go corporate on us little guys... Just kidding LOL.
  17. I know you know this C&G, whether it's fishing or life situations most of these old farts know their stuff. Take their advice as gold.
  18. Although it is a huge part of the professional bass fishing world, I would love to see electronics removed for at least one tournament to see how they did comparatively. I also agree with A-Jay about just showing up with an empty card so everything thing you learn during practice is your personal information. I think there is a big difference between a waypoint on a map and someone simply telling someone information. For example "Hey Greg, you know where we put in at Grand Lake last year. If you keep going back to the east about a half a mile you will see a 15 boat covered dock that has brush all around it that is loaded with fish." Comparatively I feel like one is way different than the other. Then again I don't know how you would regulate that without empty their cards before practice or the start of the tournament. Also didn't Casey Ashley win the classic last year from information about an underspin technique his dad told him the week before? Another idea is for an angler to keep their personal waypoints they take a five pound deduction for his stored information.
  19. In before Raul post..
  20. If Shaq Lawson is playing I'll take Clemson.
