  1. My thoughts exactly. Thanks for the tips.
  2. 7' mh for jigs and t rigs 6'6" mh for spinnerbaits 6'6" crankin stick for squarebills Frog rod 7' spinning rod.
  3. Don't really do too much frog fishing. But I wanted to try these matts out at a local lake. Casting around the matts I actually had a couple frogs chasing the boo yah frog I was dragging. Then I hooked into a 14 incher. After release I immediately miss 3 in a row. Setting the hook too early. But all in all a fun day.
  4. Fishing flea markets? Maybe
  5. Pretty much anything strike king will be good. Maybe 1/4 - 3/8 oz baby burner spinnerbait or a war eagle. As for cranks I like squarebills or shallow cranks. Strike king, bandits. Lucky crafts are good too.
  6. It's probably doable. As long as your not making long pitches and a pretty stiff rod. Like a broom stick! Haha.
  7. Super slick is pretty smooth. Frays a bit though.
  8. Check ebay for equipment. I got my setup there for under 80 bucks. Plus fly line which was 15 bucks.
  9. Bps backpack. It's alright. Lots of room for stuff. Just lightened it up a week ago. You don't realize how heavy it can get when ya carry everything with you. Haha.
  10. They would all reply "get your thumb out of my mouth!!!!"
  11. Braid weight bead swivel. Easier to retie one knot instead of 2. plus more knots means more chance of failure.
  12. Watch shaw grisby rods. The butt end has a yellow foam on it called "cush it". It floats he says.
  13. Boo yah buzzbaits squeak right out the package.
  14. 3 doors down with staind (my favorite group) breaking Benjamin (also my favorite group) and no address. My first concert left an impact.
  15. Being a bank fisherman myself the stringer is the best bet. Don't put it through the gills though. Poke it through the upper lip and let it sit in the water and just chill. Make a call to game wardens office. Most likely will drive to you or at least tell you what to do.
  16. If its an invasive species that your state doesn't want. Then I would put it on a stringer keep it in the water to keep it alive then call the proper authorities. Tell them you caught an invasive species in your lake.
  17. California has probably the best chance. The deeper waters and the forage base. Texas too. And florida.
  18. Good idea for lure painters
  19. U practically can throw anything on the medium heavy. Except really heavy lures or fish in heavy weeds. Medium light would take care of your finesse stuff. -6'10" mh would put on a lighter jigs and Texas rigs 1/4 oz and under with 8 to 12 lb line or 15 to 20 lb braid. Any lure as long as it meets the specs of your rod. -7'3" ml will be split shot rigs, weightless soft plastics with lighter wire hooks. 6 to 8 lb line or 10 to 15 lb braid. You do cover alot and majority for just getting back into fishing. just not the heavy stuff like heavycover fishing. Hope this helped ya
  20. My favorite is the morning. I do believe just my opinion that certain lakes are better evening lakes than mornings.
  21. Somthin from zman for most durable.
  22. Checkout revosx. I like them, depending where you look you can get them cheaper than 150.
