Mono Vs Copoly Sensitivity
Hold the line above the finger. That is the best sensitivity you could have. Watch how hank parker fishes. Those lines are the same with sensitivity.

How Long Did It Take You To Master The Baitcaster?
Master? I would say it took about a couple of years to get pretty comfortable with. I could probably do everything but skip lures. I admit it been about a month since I went fishing and I'm always rusty after a hiatus. But then I get the groove back. Haha

July Bass - I Need Help
Somthin moving fast might be the ticket. Maybe try a 1/2 oz. rattletrap. A crankbait or a heavy spinnerbait. If that don't work move to shallow cover and pitch flip

Black Max Parts Question...
If you have the cap for the silver max in hand try it on. If the threads match its looking good. Then see if it does its job by slowing the spool down. Most parts like that in the same company work.

Let's Talk Essential Colors
The only thing I'll add is watermelon to plastics. I think they work better in clearer water. Chrome to lipless cranks.

Pitching/jig Rod
Probly a good all around rod for jigs would be a medium heavy fast, or a moderate fast if you set the hook super super hard. A rod that is rated 1/4-1oz. Around 7 ft. And balanced will be nice too. I think a medium heavy will suffice as long as your not flipping through heavy vegatation. Alot of people I hear say you need a heavy because you need to puncture that thick hook through the fishes mouth. Never had that problem with a medium heavy. Just don't use shark hook jigs...it's just a bass. Haha

Need Help With Square Bill Crankbaits
Throw it around cover to get bit and confidence. I don't care who says what, that is how to learn a lure like a squarebill is just to throw it and throw it and then throw it again. I throw squarebills when i know the bass are around cover (which is about all the time). Alot of strikes happen when the squarebell hits the piece of cover. logs in the water are what I like to throw to. There are also brush piles. rocky banks. Somtimes when cover is scarce I just cast the crank parallel to the bank about 5 ft away from the bank reel as fast as I can then stop it for a sec then reel fast again.
