  1. For a down payment, yes.
  2. It takes Mike about 2 days to fill the orders the other 10 he goes fishing... NUFF SAID!

  4. No need for the bright colors, I always know where my frog is.... right by the blow up. Nuff Said!
  5. That's why you order in bulk from Mike, that way when he is backed up you still have your favorite jig in your tackle box, and can fish on until your new order arrives. I usually order 3 or 4 of each, and now that I'm on the water I hardly lose anymore jigs because I can actually retrieve them if they get hung up in something.
  6. I have four bull frog Pad Crashers with the white light chartreuse belly, and one black with yellow markings, and a R2S in black with blue markings. I only use the bull frogs (only frogs I see around up here in NJ) because I still haven't seen a black with yellow markings frog swimming around, or a black with blue markings frog swimming around... maybe if I went fishing in the Amazon.
  7. I have not have it happen to me yet, but if it does it is what it is. Like everybody else says it won't go to waste, the cat fish will eat it, or gator, or turtle or raccoon, or.....
  8. This might of been mentioned, but I'll mention it anyway. Another technique is skipping the jig, to get into those low hanging tree places or under those docks. A little tough from shore but doable.
  9. I like to waste money on supplies, and try to invent something that would make it easier... I've thought about that, but the keel is more pronounced in the front so there may be a problem with it wobbling side to side if I lift the stern. I'm gonna give it a shot any way. Thanks for the suggestion.
  10. The only issue I have with my Lure 11.5 is the wheel in the keel and when I load it on top of my Ford Explorer. When you raise the bow up to lean it against the rear of the truck it wants to roll back, so you always have have a handle on it. You can't just lean it and then walk to the rear and lift it onto the vehicle. I think I have fix for that problem, and it involves a row tied to the front cross bar of my rack and a hook to hook the built in handle in the bow. Other than that it's an awesome yak. I stood in it 95 percent of the time this past Friday. I did get funny looks. When I had the seat raised at its maximum height (10"), and I heard somebody say if it was a kayak or not. It definitely isn't fast, but good enough for me.
  11. Yes they have the Lure 13.5, and comes with a built in cooler.
  12. 17# Sufix Flouro (works great for jig fishing never a problem), 10 Greenfish jigs (Sorry Mike needed to fill out the 50 dollar min for free shipping... I wasn't cheating) Hey Mike, if you start selling 17lb + test flouro from Sufix, Berkley or some of the other quality lines, I will never have to go anywhere else... Just a thought.
  13. Because he can...
  14. Nothing big. This was from this past Friday at a reservoir where I have horrible bank fishing luck, but I'm starting to love it for yak fishing. I lost 4 fish at the yak, including a 3lbr maybe. Lipped 3, but only took pics of 2 cause the 3rd one got lose from my grip. For this guy I flipped a jig over a branch sticking out of the water, and as I went to pull the jig up and over the branch he actually broke the surface to take it... scared the crap out of me. The line got snagged on said branch, and he was just hanging there. Luckily my buddy gave me a hand and untangld him.
  15. I usually set right after the blow up. I don't wait to see if my frog is gone.
  16. Talk to Mike at Siebert Outdoors.
  17. I have the Frogg Toggs Toad Rage jacket and the regular Frogg Toggs rain pants. So far the jacket works well. I bought it big so in the cooler months I can wear warmer clothes under it.
  18. They're at the pool... It's hot man.
  19. It is now, three years ago this place was a dump. The town took it over , cleaned it up, kept it closed for a year to let nature take its course, and it's now a nature preserve. Thar are some pigs in these waters. Kayak and canoes only, and no motors. It's also a catch and release only.
  20. Worked great, I mean it wasn't really windy, but Got to mess with it. Used my anchor in deeper water, and my stake out pole in the shallows.
  21. Love the mechanic "rolling" work stools.
  22. I tell you, when I showed up at the yak/ canoe acces ramp you would of thought I pulled up in a Lamborghini. People kept on coming up to me asking all types of questions about the thing. How much it cost, and how nice it looked, and they all dug the seat especially when I told them that it raises up 10". It started cutting into my fishing time.
  23. I have the 11.5, and it's great. The seat is awesome. It's not the fastest kayak from what I've heard, I can't really compare it to a fast kayak because I never sat in one and paddled it. To me it paddles great. I think it also depends on what type of paddle u you use, and what it's designed for. I have the Adventure Technology Angler Search which supposedly is designed for this type of kayak. The stability is awesome, stood up plenty of times yesterday. It is even stable enough to stand in the chop. The wheel in the keel works great had no problem dragging it thru the grass and gravel, but works the best on the pavement, and this was fully loaded. It is a tad heavy, and it's a little work for me to get it on the roof of my Explorer because of the keel wheel it tends to want to slide back when you lean the bow up against the rear of the truck. I think I have a fix for that. You shouldn't have a problem loading it in truck bed though with a bed extender. The 13.5 will be much heavier, but with a trailer that should make it easier. If you have any questions let me know.
  24. I bought a bag of purple, pumpkin red Craw Fatties, and a bag of Pit Bosses in the same color at Dick's. Never had much luck with the Craw Fatties, but Pit Bosses are great jig trailers.
