  1. I don't know where these people say that the plastic is flimsy on the Lures, I'm 200lbs and the there is no flex on the floor whatsoever when I stand. Second when I tie the yak down on my roof it doesnt even flex when I pull the straps tight. The wheel is awesome I drag my Lure to the water fully loaded 4-5 rods, seat, full crate, paddle, and SOP thru grass dirt and gravel.
  2. Go with 8.1.1, with a Heavy power rod and that reel you can get that fish out of the salad quickly. You don't want the fish to run back into cover so the 32 IPT will help.
  3. You can get a good pfd for $135 to $150, and some foam rack blocks to place on your cross bars with cam straps for like 40 bucks.
  4. Needs more cow bell...
  5. They are great, but I think a rudder would make them even better... That will be my winter plan.
  6. I drove over an hour to test some yaks, and it was worth it. Came home with a Lure 11.5, Chinook pfd, and Adventure Technologies Angler paddle the same day. This happened in May of this year and paid around 1300 bucks for everything. The Lure was $1045, but may get cheaper during the fall and winter, plus they are coming out with a new version of the Lure if they haven't already. I'm pretty sure the old version will have a great price drop if you wait. Just my 2 cents.
  7. My 6'6" MH/F Fenwick HMG, spool of 17lb Berkley Trilene Flouro, and 2 Booyah Pad Crashers in Swamp Frog were waiting for me when I returned from my vacation. The HMG looks like a really nice quality rod, and light too. Now to give it the Jigs for Sticking Pigs test...
  8. You better get help...
  9. Happened to me a few weeks back. Caught one on a frog, and had both hooks thru the top of the mouth. Unfortunately when I removed the hook one of the eyes started filling with blood, but he swam off fine. It bothered me a little, but realized that there are bass out there that were caught totally blind or have one eye that are chunkers.
  10. If anybody knows so good spots there.let me know.
  11. Sup guys, been busy doing touristy stuff. I'm gonna check out some spots tommorrow. I'm in Miami bordering Miami shores, near the the North Miami area.
  12. So white flukes with jig heads, or hard jerk baits
  13. Awesome, thanks for that license info. Duh I should of known better and googled it... How about spooks? I'm also targeting LM Bass so what are they eating down south, and colors. Just hit cover, and lay downs and such? Thanks
  14. That's what I plan on doing get 2 mounting plate adapters, one for the FF and one for a rod so I can do a little trolling on the way to a spot, and back to the "ramp"
  15. I'm going down to Miami tomorrow to visit my family, and on the way from the airport I'm gonna pick up an El cheapo two piece rod at the BPS. I'm bringing one of my casting reels down with, and some tackle, and plan on doing some bank fishing. Question is: what are the hot lures down there. I know what they like up here in NJ,is it the same down there color wise. I'm thinking top waters and spinners. Also what's a lisence cost for a non resident for a week.
  16. It has 2 flush mounts behind the seat, and the track mount adapter is like 25 bucks. It's a plate with holes in it where you can attach rod holders and FFs. The Uni Bar is the piece that goes across in front of you and attaches to the tracks on the left and right sorta like a dash board, that's 199 bucks with three adapter plates and less without them. http://feelfreeus.com/accessories/fishing-accessories/
  17. The sale is till the end of the month right?
  18. How's the power rating on the HMG rods, are they true to the description or do they run lighter or heavier?
  19. I have caught the same fish twice. The first day then the next day. Both on a jig, but different colors. She hit bait hard both times.
  20. Thanks A-Jay
  21. And did some bank fishing with the fam. It started small, but it got better. Some of these are multi pics of the same fish. In all 4 bass were caught which a call a good day in my book for bank fishing. These guys love hanging around the beaver lodge. My son also caught several blue gill and perch... he's always killing it with the night crawlers.
  22. I think they have both. They also carry Sun Dolphin, and Field and Stream brand kayak, and they should be in the same price range you are looking at.
  23. Git Lawd, 6' at 15!? Anywho, if you just want to jump in and jump out to fish, and not fish out of it check out the Pelican brand of yaks at Dicks
