  1. I'm really gona invest in a fish finder for next season for the reasons being splaned.
  2. Do bluegill, perch, and shiners follow a similar pattern as shad this time of year. Do they school up, go up "creek arms"or go "shallow", and shallow being relative.
  3. With all the man made resis up here and no shad going shallow, what fall pattern should we folow?
  4. The hull design makes it easy to place the transducer out of harms way.
  5. I would use the Lowrance scuper mount. I'll be using it even if I won't be using a Lowrance unit.
  6. Those are some skinny fish, no wonder they're biting...
  7. Nice. 15-20? Man I'll be lucky if I can get over 3.
  8. Does that make sense, "they work great"
  9. His tungsten weights are at a good price point... That's why I bought 8 of em' 1/2oz-1oz, and they work great.
  10. I use the anchor and trolly, keeps pretty much on the spot.
  11. Nice yak, I think that has the interchangeable center pod if i'm not mistaken.
  12. That they do, but I've still used the same frog many a times after even with the puncture wounds... things don't sink.
  13. I guess I didn't win... Congrats!

Went back to the same resivoir I went to last week, which is supposed to be a tough place to fish... It was. Was throwing swim jigs, frogs on the mats, but no bites. Decided to switch what worked last week, and that was punching mats. I paddle to the edge of a mat, and I'm over a giant y shaped laydown. Rig my rod with the same set up,a VMC Flippn' hook, a 3/4 Oz tungsten weight a la Siebert's, and a PBJ Rage Tail Structure Bug also from Mike. I'm rigged up, I drop the bait over the side, and I put my tackle away, but I'm not ready to fish yet I,m still sitting down. I grab my rod to get ready to stand up and I feel pressure on the line, then see the line move a bit. So while I'm still sitting down a set the hook kind of akwardly, and almost lose the rod, but got this guy in. And that was it for the day.
  15. They have the Muck boots Trail X something or other on sale at DSG for $99, down from $139, bought a pair with my 10 DSG dollars so came out to $89. They are waterproof, comfortable, and flexible perfect for being on a Kayak.
  16. Those are golden shiners. There's a pond I go to that has them, but I only see them during the spawn trying to raid the LM beds. Definetly going to look into some swim jigs in those colors.
  17. I'm needing to know the same thing.
  18. A waterproof boot, a muck boot maybe.
  19. Or maybe I'll stay collared...
  20. I have rubber collars because when I was bank fishing I would lose a lot of jigs so it didn't make sense to spend the extra money for wire tied , but now that I'm on the water in my yak I can retrieve my jigs if they get stuck 100 percent of the time so far. I will be going to wire tie over the winter.
  21. Nice Wayne, you had the depth and everything even the way the timbers are aranged. Looks like the same place I am talking about. You arent in New Jersey are you...
  22. I guess a FF will be in order this winter...
  23. This time of year
