Minn Kota Maxxum Steering Cable Routing
probably need new cables, but if your getting a new motor then it's up to you what you want to do. I always make sure I untwist the cable from the Peddle to the head. Well, not the cables per say, but the whole shebang from the peddle to the head.

Latest Catch Pics Thread
Lost a few, but caught this little fatty, in the 4 hours I had to hit one of the Finger Lakes (Seneca Lake) my whole three day stay there. The weather really messed up my fishing schedule (especially our Cayuga day), but hey was still a great time. Not used to the crystal clear water, scared off alot of potential bites.

Uugh!
Was on the water for about 4 hours. The weather turned out great. Had a few misses, bit did manage this little fatty. Man, the water is so clear I was spooking all the fish not to bite. There were some fat largies.

Uugh!
Here in the Finger Lakes for the Labor day weekend. Been here since Saturday. Rented a nice house right on Seneca lake. Drove four and a half hours to get here with boat in tow, and haven't had a chance to hit the water cause of the weather. Saturday was just to get here and check the place out, Sunday was gonna hit Cayuga but there were swells and white caps cause of the wind, and I wasn't willing to test my just installed bilge float switch in my 17 1/2 foot Stratos in these conditions. So went back to the Marina at Seneca to store the boat (Not bad 10 bucks a day) and decided to meet up with the wife and her cousin to do some winery and brew House hopping, and to satisfy the child we headed to BPS in Auburn. and on the way back for dinner we drove thru Montezuma Preserve. So today of course thunder storms, but it has cleared up and the lake is quiet. So now at 12 pm were just gonna put in here at the Marina and just fish. Let you know what happens. Even though haven't fished yet it is still a great place, definitely coming back again but stay on Cayuga instead.

2 Piece Casting Rod Recommendation
I can vouch for the Kastking Perigee II 2 piece rods. Great rods for the price.

Winterizing your boat
I'm with ya If you do have a built in gas tank, don't fill it full, fill it maybe 3/4 and a half full. Gas expands when it tends to get warmer, and you don't want gas pouring out of you gas tank vent. Don't ask me how I know...

Kastking products comparison
Got the Speed Demon reel on a H/fast Royale Legend rod for my bank fishing frog and "Punching" rig. So far it casts nicely, and like @Bluebasser86 mentioned it is a bulky reel.

KastKing rod
I have the H/Fast versions they're nice for the money. I do notice KK tapers are a little softer then stated (then again every rod brand has their own version of what is what), but a nice rod over all.
