  1. Has anyone ever done this? I have the vexilar sonar phone and I want to be able to take my tablet and mount it in a scotty mount for my fish finder. I dont see anything on the website that would work, just wondering if anyone has an idea for this. You guys are usually pretty creative. Thanks!
  2. I bought the vexilar sonar phone. It seems pretty good. You could just tie that off to your boat and trail it. It was around 140 all together with shipping.
  3. I picked up 3 today all cranks, dicks is running a buy 2 get 1. I'll try them tomorrow
  4. I read the post at the top, not all of it though so any advice is appreciated. Ill be doing it from the bank, no swim jigs just bouncing on the bottom
  5. 100% right. I spend on average of about 10-15 hours per week lately
  6. You will love it, I bought one, had to buy another and I may buy a third though I cannot justify it at this time
  7. Just wanted to thank you all for the help, this year I was new to baitcasters. After a long process, some questions here and practice I can finally chuck them pretty accurately, overhand, sidearm whatever. It took a little getting used to and some nights of just going out to the lake and not caring if I caught anything but I finally have it to where Im pretty comfortable. Im still not as accurate as I am with spinning gear but its a whole lot better then what it was so thanks for all the tips and the videos on the board. It was all extremely helpful.
  8. I just received my first order from them and I will never purchase another store bought jig again. These are great quality
  9. Just a quick update. Ive used it twice now. It works, completely easy to set up and use. I just wing it out there, let it sit a few seconds and connect. I attached a screen shot, it picked up the clump of logs I know are at the bottom because I can see them. The screen did become a tiny bit distorted but either way it picked up the logs. It seems to mark fish though I cant be positive because I dont let it sit out there. I throw and reel in slowly in a fan pattern just to get an idea of whats going on. Either way in my opinion the 130 was worth it. Its giving me humps, valleys etc I didnt know where there. Also seems to pick up grass as well. More than a few times I have reeled it in, Ill see the valley, grass, fish.
  10. Thanks, hopefully it does, its not easy to video those things are so tiny. Everyone is helpful here so hopefully I could contribute a little
  11. I just uploaded a video to youtube setting the brakes. Its processing Ill stick the link here when its done. Its a crappy video but you will get the basic idea. Once they are not so stiff its very easy just to slide on/off
  12. They are most likely a little stiff, mine were. I leave it at 2/2 and use the dial as well
  13. Thanks guys! It makes me nervous but I am completely tired of bank fishing
  14. Is there such a way to do this? I have no roof rack, a very small commuter car (Honda Insight) I really want a kayak but I have no idea how to get this thing on the roof of my very small car. It is very similar to a prius. Any thoughts?
  15. Just received the delivery today, let it charge a bit while I was watching a move, dropped it in a bowl of water and the connection took me all of 5 minutes. Very simple install. Im sure Ill have to play around with different settings
  16. HA, thas asking a lot. Im pretty lazy
  17. I just ordered one. I did a search here but really didnt see much, of course I can be lazy. Does anyone have one? Any input?
  18. Not to bump and old post but its a great deal. I just picked up a DX 763SF for 204.00 shipping included.
  19. Thanks, guess Im buying another one. I also figure it will be OK but just needed to double check some opinions. I have a spinning set up Stradic Ci4+ but Im not thrilled with the casting distance. Maybe its the rod GL2 JWR I dont know.
  20. I have two of these reels already (Crank, treble hooks & Frog and Jig) thinking about buying another one for my wacky rig, texas right. These are not really light baits but wondering how you guys feel this reel would handle it. I think OK but would like some other opinions. Thanks!
  21. Same, I have the 3700, its huge
  22. I honestly had one in my hands today and thought nah I don't need this. Oh the irony
  23. I know a lot of you have caught bigger but this is pretty big for south jersey I think. Either way it's my personal best, caught on an ocho wacky rigged. No idea on weight I don't own a scale
