I can get it but, I can get more if I go Chronarch, nicer rod etc... So Im torn. Im not a professional bass fisherman LOL. But I also know how my brain is wired. I dont know if there is enough of a difference between the chronarch and the metanium

I have the same type of brain. Sadly nobody seems to have the Metanium in stock to touch it.

Im debating on a Metanium or Chronarch CI4+. Is the extra money worth it to go up to the Metanium?

I see they have square bill and lipless rods, Id like to toss the same on both. I really have nothing that's going to dive deeper than 3-5' the majority of lakes around me just dont have all that much depth. Also would like to toss the occasional jig/soft plastic on it. HELP! Please! Thanks, CYP

Thanks, I have read this, one of the reasons I want one and am leaning towards it but than I think about all the other stuff I could do. I have 10 days until my bonus check so Ill just keep researching and reading and hunting to see if I can find it cheaper than the 650 and exploring my options. All of the responses so far have helped me greatly, I think I read and research too much though lol

Just wondering if the amount of bearings make a difference in a baitcaster. I see all types with all different amounts of bearings. Im leaning towards a Shimano Calais but then I keep thinking do I really need to spend 650.00 on a reel when I could get 2 or 3. Just looking for thoughts. Thanks, CYP

Matt, dont know where you are in South Jersey but Blackwater sports does cleaning/lube starting at 18.00. Delsea Drive, Vineland. I havent used them but Im bringing them my Quantum later this week. Have always read great things.

It seems like a bunch of you guys gush like school girls over Justin Bieber about these reels. Im brand new to baitcasters I have never held one (Curado), never fished one (Curado). I have looked at tons of review and tons of articles and only one thing really sticks out to me. The plastic drag star. It bothers me a lot. I don't know why but does it make a difference to you guys? Do they break? Are there other plastic components? Yes I will get out to actually touch one but I'm just curious as to exactly why these reels are so good that it seems like a bunch of you would throw your lures at it on stage. Thanks! CYP
