  1. I've been loving the ocho lately
  2. Thanks, I like the combo, I have the same type of set up for my crankbait, Ci4+ with Dobyns Champ Glass 705. Figured I may as well stick with it for the frogs
  3. I just ordered my first frogging set up Shimano Chronarch Ci4+ Dobyns Champion 735C 8 Spro Frogs, poppers and normal mostly dark or black Sunline FX2 Braid 50lb Any tips and pointers on frogging is greatly appreciated. I love topwater but really on have used poppers but frogging seems like so much fun.
  4. Sounds good! PM me your address
  5. Awesome thanks, I have watched a couple I think but not positive. Ill check them out.
  6. Is there a secret or a trick to this? If I try its instant backlash. Just looking for pointers. Edit to add the reel is a Shimano Chronarch Ci4+
  7. Ive been having very good luck with the Strike King Perfect Plastics Ocho in Honey Candy in clear water. Weedless Trokar 1/0 Wacky Hook.
  8. YES, Yes it does. I just tried them. I caught 1 but lost hooksets on 3 or 4 and the 1 was barely hooked.
  9. Thanks, Ill try this, I have been using the sweeping forearm motion but the rod is behind me
  10. Hi, just looking for some tips on becoming more accurate with a baitcaster. I can cast it just fine for the most part, backlash here and there usually when I forget to set the brakes for wind. Anyway, I am not accurate at all with it. I have somewhat of a general idea of the direction but nowhere near as accurate as I am with spinning gear. Any tips or is it just practice, practice, practice. Setup is a Shimano Chronarch Ci4+ and a Dobyns Champion 705CB if that matters at all.
  11. In clear water in South Jersey I have been having good luck with the purpleish power worms
  12. I had a chance to use it yesterday just tossing a t-rig worm around. Felt sensitive enough to me anyway, I felt the bottom, felt the worm and hooked up nicely on the one bite I was able to muster up. Im happy with the 120 purchase at this point. I only fished for about 90 minutes but so far so good.
  13. Thanks, thats what Ill be using it for. Hopefully Ill find out myself early evening
  14. Thanks guys, already bought (didnt see the responses before hand) it and have it in hand. Its in perfect condition and light. Ill find out how the sensitivity is later. I did look at reviews and felt for 120 it would be a good deal but we'll see I guess. Ill use it for the season and switch it over to a dobyns champion if I dont like it. I love the one on my casting set up. Thanks again
  15. Believe it or not, I also agree, I was just excited. I did get it out for a bit yesterday, well my 8yr old did. He hooked into a chain pickerel the whole process for him was very simple from messing with the drag to reeling it in. Everything seemed very smooth but Ill know more today when I go out alone provided the wind isn't nuts.
  16. Just looking for thoughts on the GL-2 Spinning rod sensitivity. I have a chance to pick one up for 120 which I think is a very fair price, I will be using it for mostly for senkos and t-rigs. Anyone using this and can you give me your thoughts on the sensitivity of it. Thanks! Edit to add *MODEL 852S-JWR, 1/8-3/8 LURE , 6-12 TEST
  17. Congrats, great bass
  18. Most I have ever spent on a spinning reel but I had to have it. After playing with my Chronarch Ci4+ the past month I had to have the same type of spinning reel. No rod yet, going to throw it on an old crappy one for a few weeks until I can save up for a good one.
  19. Just picked one up and sitting here on my couch playing with it. Super buttery smooth right out of the box. Playing around with the drag is equally smooth. If you are on the fence about one I say dont be, go get it. Cant wait to break it in tomorrow.
  20. Im looking around, Im hoping at some point to get one but I have a small car so its going to have to go on the roof but I am looking around.
  21. Yup thats pretty much it other than its deeper than 12' probably closer to 40' from what I have read looking around but really I cant be sure, no boat to get out there
  22. Im going to try the jig/tail method first. I dont have finesse gear at this point
  23. Congrats, I have one too and love it. I was out today, it was a bit windy, backlash, backlash, oh let me turn that little dial up. Smooth as butter and simple.
