Those of you who fish the Chain of Lakes in Northern IL, are there any free ramps or permits needed to launch boats on the chain? I acquired my first bass boat and would like to take it out soon but my uncle told me that I need a Chain sticker.

The PQ is greatut I haven't had any issues with my tourney special either.

I was hoping to not have to put anything else on the transom and keep the original. I just need to know where to get to the hookup.

I bought a Skeeter boat off of a friend but it had motor issues. I think that I have them fixed but the gauges aren't working. I traced the speedometer tubing to the outboard. It ran down the frame of the outboard to the lower unit. I found a kink with a crack in the hose right before it enters the lower unit. The problem that I have is I cannot see a nipple to attach a new hose to. Does this mean that I must drop the lower unit? Can I splice into what hose is left? My manual that I downloaded off of the web doesn't mention anything about a speedometer pickup anywhere in the lower unit. Any help is much appreciated.

What are you throwing it on? I am using a bb1 with a 7' medium glass rod and it casts a freakin' mile.

I grew up in a S&W house. The old man wouldn't buy anything but. I ended up grabbing a Dan Wesson and he started to change his mind. I love my DW but used prices on them are also going through the roof. We have another family member who is trying to grab all of Colt's "snake" guns. He is 2 shy but they are running anywhere from 2-7 grand each. That is INSANE!

I bought a bunch of havoc plastics with the rebates going on last month. They will not honor them even after calling. Their excuse was that I don't have a valid date on my receipt. Even though it clearly states the dates that are within the realm of the rebate. Anyone else getting the go 'round with Berkley?

3 Walmarts checked near me. Only 1 had them at $0.50. It was an entire box of the same 3 colors/baits. I was hoping to walk out with a ton but only left with 3.

I ended up going in tonight after work. The CS couldn't have been nicer. I told her my dilemma and she understood as the the ice out here just happened last week. It took her a while to print a receipt from my rewards card but she did and told me to go get what I wanted. They even took my PowerPro Slick off and put on the new reel!

The Chippewa Flowage in Hayward, WI would be my most memorable. I have not been skunked there ever. I seem to always catch a smallie or largemouth. I can also be assured a handful of pike as well.

I don't remember what the model was but I picked it up as an after Christmas Promo for Bass Pro. It is one of those KVD promos. It looked identical to the Accurist PT but with a different paint job (Black/Red). I bought myself a PQ and saw the KVD on an end cap. It felt nice in my hand but the tension knob is horrible at holding consistently, both brakes are finicky and I can't cast with it at all. Knowing that I wouldn't get a refund, I was hoping that BP would use it towards an exchange for another PQ.

I really like tubes in northern WI.

I think the pain is everytime I fish it is the same result. I see guys pulling musky and walleye but I can't catch squat.

Normally there is heavy vegetation out to 10' during the summer months. There were visible patches all over.

For some reason, this extremely clear lake has skunked me again. I was hoping that my research over the winter and new techniques would finally help me conquer this clear water beast but not yet. My first outing of the year does not have me excited. Fish, if I read my new 581i DI correctly, were hung on the bottom near ledges. This is why I tried to fish the majority of the places I did. Any insight? I included a map with where I fished, baits and water details.

I picked up a Pro Qualifier and a Quantum KVD reel on sale during Christmas. Given my locale, I just now had the chance to fish them. I am extremely happy with my Pro Qualifier purchase. The Quantum, not so much. Cast control and dial-in is horrible on the Quantum. I would like to take it back and pick out another Pro Qualifier. Will they do this? I have returned unused items with no problems but will they take back a used reel? Thanks!
