I'm to old to remember, ah yes, slug- o, that's what Popeye the Sailor man did to sea hag!
  2. No guys, it's all about the photopierod! Or is it water temp, hmm..lol
  3. Good character is not formed in a week or a month. It is created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good character. Heraclitus
  4. Lol, yea I remember that exact reel.. I bought the next version below it. A wide spool version with a sliding switch on top, front hood area, it was a magnetic braking reel. Been awhile since I saw the 2 speed version. Looks to be in good shape. Welcome to the forums....
  5. Hello & welcome to BR..
  6. Welcome to the forums, good luck this tournament year!
  7. Spinnerbait on wind blown banks..
  8. So what's the going rate for a 6 room igloo up there?
  9. A complete tear down would be my course of action, if not, that reel is going to become a problem and sooner rather than later.
  10. Take better care of your tools, stainless steel can and does corrode, albeit at slower rates. I have a set of polymer w stainless cutters. I carry those in my gore tex rain parka. Wipe your tools weekly with a rag and a bit of oil. Problem solved! Or, dig deep for titanium. Guess what, I've seen it corrode too!
  11. Great to hear from fellow Veterans! Welcome to & enjoy the forums!

I do not know, however, the monkey comes in all shapes and sizes. It's a good question, lol..
  13. Lol, yea I remember a whole bunch about Duke Vs Kentucky going back to Joe B Hall's days.
  14. Agree with War Eagle, I would grab that cumara any day over a crucial. It's such a high performance rod. A trick worm & hook is not tough to cast, a wacky rigged w 1/8 is real easy to throw, Senkos? A piece of cake! Get that rod while you can.
  15. Either, spinnerbaits also.. Trigs, jigs, crigs, live, cut bait rigs... It's a great reel for a lot of things!
  16. Anyone following college basketball? Other than UK being undefeated, what teams do You like? Wisconsin looks great this year, I suspect they go deep into the big tournament. In fact, I think they can beat my beloved wildcats. Who's your favorite? Who's your pick?
  17. LOL! Yup, flipping ain't for the timid... Sounds like a great connection there. You will learn a thing or two from him, I'm sure..
  18. Another example of California and it's enhanced feeding programs.
  19. Keep that hellbender it will have value one day!
  20. Uh, do you care to explain how I have caught thousands of many fish spieces on Mono.? Co-poly, Stren, Big Game.. Trigging, flipping, topwater, jigging? Maybe you should revise your statement...
  21. Lol, good one! I don't care what company or line type it is.. If I have a bad batch or formula, that's it. I move on to another company. Most lines are stable today, giving great results. Line is too important, time spent fishing is often limited.
  22. Thank you Mr. Paul Roberts, I appreciate your response.
  23. 10 Yozuri or maybe 12 depending on structure & cover..
  24. Great times right there! Yup, on topwater crankbait strikes, happens at times. Congrats on a great start to your season!
