Curado I Initial Impressions
Yea the CU I is a brand new platform, different gearing etc, it just maybe not up to you're personal standards. My reels ( cu I ) don't feel like my E's and they don't feel like my D's or TE's so maybe they don't work for you. You're certainly entitled to this opinion... Well good luck on you're trip, let us know how they do for ya!

Overpopulated. What To Do??
You must own that pond, or have written permission to remove those dinks, other than that sometimes it is the only way to help a pond become more balanced

Is Flrocarbon Ok For Topwater
Don't use fluorocarbon to topwater... Use mono or a co-poly...a bigger diameter depending on bait of course these lines work fine, some like braid.

Great Article - Study Indicates Bass Can Identify, Avoid Lures
It's very easy to see that the study is easily Flawed, Land Surveying is a Exact Science, I can't imagine they consider that study as Exact Data collection either, it's simply impossible to suggest the data they suggest as Scientific, to have truthful merit. They did a study to teach basic data collection and failed to report it properly. The General Hypothesis has already been fairly understood.

Need Help Picking Power/length/gear Ratio/action!
While you may be familiar with FC on spinning, learning on a baitcast rig is Different. I only suggest the nylon or soft co- poly is, it's simply a Less expensive alternative to learning the baitcaster. However, I use these lines Even now, and I am content to do so. I am right hand dominate. I use both right cranks and left on baitcasters. I have 0 issues doing this... Use what you like, what you want. I have often used 6 and 8 pd. line on baitcasting as well... I am not saying you cannot learn this with the size of line or line type you have selected, but if you backlash that first time, it may or may not Sting. Bigger line is also easier to work out on a backlash. Practice... You WILL learn it.. And enjoy it . Also there are many great reads here on Bassresource that can really help fine tune the process of learning this Reel type.

Copolymer Stretch
Friction can also distort nylon, copolys,eg. Higher drag slippage against certain guide ring materials, simply overheats the line. I have not used McCoys... But I have had that happen with Yozuri and Pline CXX ... No matter, I cut it out and keep fishing.

Need Help Picking Power/length/gear Ratio/action!
Pretty much what DVT said , however I would strongly suggest that you use a very good mono, or even a softer co-poly 12 to 16... Of , course this is assuming that you will be learning to cast the Baitcast combo as well....if you are already a good caster w/ baitcast reels... Use whatever line you want! Good luck!

Going To Buy A Bunch Of Jigs Soon ... Help
People really like Siebert jigs, many users here, I have seen north stars but not used them. Mike Siebert also sells Rage baits and has very nice Tungston punch rigs, as well as bullet weights (tungston) at really good prices. Call them and try a few from both company's, then you will really know better on what's, what! Good luck!
