  8. Curado I is a dry drag system? I think? Anyone else?
  9. That's a interesting vlog... Appreciate that sir! Loomis rods have been with me since 96 I love them... Maybe not for everyone though I have only ever bought bass rods.... But I have been All over the Caribbean, Florida, Gulf and coasts of Texas and I have caught lots and lots of varied species These rods maybe say or lead toward the LMB But are so strong and so very capable They are worth the money to me... I had to prove it To myself first though! Also hunt around... You will find Them used like new for even better prices! Loomis and Shimano, my go to fishing equipment !
  10. I can use left or right... However I do still prefer R/H retrieve
  11. I am so over this winter..... Geez.... After pitchin & Flippin with tungston .... I am now throwing squarebills indoors with the hooks on..... So sick of cold & Snow!!!
  12. I don't think you can go wrong with either choice! Skippy
  13. Yea that reel butter.... It doesn't want to spread easily... It's about like shoe polish in a can Skippy
  14. No.... The dislike for carrot stix was is justified.... Often new rod series come out and bingo.. Breakage issues... It happens... What killed E21 was they didn't care... You had to pay 40$ and send it to Canada..they were loosing people's rods... Not replacing the broke rods.... Not so good product for many. And horrific customer service = failed company brand They are now headquartered in Cali. Also different ownership... It's owned now by a country? .....
  15. Wow... Thanks for that info! That is a big help! Sounds like you caught em good... Sounds like you're reel is the proto...for a hawgtech handle.. That's neat too Thanks again!
  16. Nice fish! As far as brakes... All on or ? How was the power on it? I am ready to use mine too..
  17. I too tryed one set on a TD Sol.... Gone after a day.. Gave them too my son... He trashed them after a month... I just really like shimanos knobs best.. Hands down Absolutely give them a try! You may find you like them! Lotta folks do... Good luck..
  18. They are lighter, way tough, offer increased torque at the crank..main gear... They also come with high grade handle bearings, also you can order cork grips as well. They look really sweet on the reel and are very reasonable in price. (Hawgtech) you can get a longer handle , or a swept handle.. I think that covers it
  19. Yea.. probably m/h... But I personally would grab a 7'1" heavy fast.
  20. I took a 100 smoke on a trade couple years ago... I use all shimano... But I have used the quantum It's really a light all alloy reel.. Aluminum drive gear well constructed... Cast pretty far... It's got ok power... My son loves the reel big time Oh.. And you can read a review on TackleTour about the Smoke... I know it's not much but maybe it will help ya Good luck
  21. Here we go..... Curado I vs Tatula type R I love it!
  22. I can tell you.... But it won't matter...reason? This place ordered 160 of these reels! Shimano would only grant him 13 No more till mid to late April I hope you get one sooner rather than later Good luck Skippy
  23. Exactly... Very very good point as well!
  24. Also maybe it's a seized up spool bearing? Irregardless ... I think it's in the reel Skippy
