The moral aptitude of our great nation is seriously compromised ..we can see this every day... I believe people will stop at nothing to achieve a thing.. Whether good or bad?....It Should, be the point, but it is a question of actual law or not. Texas may grow a really huge LMB... However California is so close now... I can't imagine a new world record coming from any place other than Cali !

Rod...Shimano Sellus starts @ 50$ it's perfect to start Reel.... Check Bps..cabelas... And other house brand baitcasters probably @ about 50$ or so... Abu Black max..49$ Line ...again ..house branded mono in 12-14 pd. Good luck on you're job hunt! Hope you can get a rod and reel you can get started with now!

I got a few bags of Havoc pit bosses at 1.50$ a bag... Generally I use rage craws... But when other plastics are slashed... I grab-em up. I often can get power bait for .99 cents a bag.. Just thrifty shop...

Yea this eradication program is very depressing. It really, really ruins fishing.. In this state they are even dropping old tires and its just has destroyed all potential for lake life...along with spraying.. It's just wrong! However it still continues in more ways than one to be sure..

I believe the advice above is rock solid... I can only simplfiy it 2 things.... Baitfish color/colors.... Crawfish color/colors.... Flip/ pitch jigs ... Football head jigs Footballs you can cast and draaggg or sloowww Crank...flip / pitch rof... Lighter weight in real cold water .... Heavier in warm/ hot... Footballs I never throw less than 1/2 oz... There are a ton of variables.... Keep it simple to begin and keep a open mind ... Hope you catch em.... I taught my son to jig fish.... He won't use anything now other than a trap!! Good luck!!

Stock Drag star on the curado 50/51 e and the not too much later chronarch 50/51 e were of a Graphite material? I used the term plastic loosely. My curado 51e's drag star is very flexible and as such, very annoying . On my chronarch 50e...the graphite drag star is rock solid... Go figure... I assume it was a shimano change in material? However I do not know..... I know this.... The cu51 is going to get a alloy star And a hawgtech handle...(long) with 4 ssbb.. Also those pics are all really nice I appreciate everyone's assistance on this issue!
