  1. 30' only? Wow.... And with a 1/2 oz jig.. Are u using heavy braid? As in new braid? Honestly I think you have a reel problem.. I think I had a brand new Fuego once... It wouldn't cast more than 40 to 50 feet ... Massive backlashes I knew the reel was bad.... Took it back... Bps gave me another.. First cast 180' it was a bad 250$ brand new reel... It happens Good luck

  6. Hope you enjoy the forums as much as I have! Welcome to a big ole fishing club!!
  7. It has to be Denny Brauer.... The guy is a Awesome flip/ pitch guy.... After he won the 98 ? Classic... He gave Ozzy Osbourne a lesson on letterman With a TDX... Frigging Ozzy thru a 1/2 oz jig And nailed a taxi... I still laugh about that today
  8. In my opinion , stick with St. Croix.... You're money will be will spent! Duckett rods.... You're money is lost... I have seen the white rods break 10 to 1 over Croix... I am not saying the mojo is bullet proof... However you will have a good rod that really should work very well at that cost. Good luck!
  9. Fish one hard for a year..... Breaks in... Smooth like butter... The harder I fish them... The better they get! I like a alloy drag star better... But I have both and never ever have broke a graphite one.. I have bent a alloy one for sure. Best reel for the money.. You bet ! Shimano has a very long list of awesome fishing reels at just about any price
  10. Yep.... Mine came in at like 10a.... It's Trick! It's a tight fit no slop at all! Mine came with extra brakes (same weight/ color) oil... Handle is much better than all curados past.. If the star drag is plastic?.... I cannot tell... I really.. Really like this revamped curado thus far... The external Brake dial is really easy to adjust on the rod At first, I thought it would be a little difficult, Not at all.... It does have the proverbial , over greased feel We all are familiar with. Palms easy... 50/51e palms just ever so slightly , slightly, easier! Feels great.... Going to spool now... And cast in 12 degree , 15 mph stupid polar vortex weather!
  11. Awesome pics! Thanks for that!
  12. No... I take, still to this day 2 piece, telescopic or what I feel well just work for my trip! Ajay is right on the money... I have a 9' avid 2 piece and I love it! Pick you're rods and enjoy the great outdoors!!i caught my personal best LM on Lochloosa lake in 1987 and it was caught on a bamboo cane pole with a 1" minnow while fishing for specks! (Crappie) crapy! Or whatever ! Just saying..... Have fun!
  13. Yea... I agree here too... It's a keeper!!
  14. Nooooo..... Fisherman will buy what (they) want. However, you cannot buy what isn't available. That's all on this It's called hijacking a thread I am done.
  15. I don't know what I am supposedly wishing for?
  16. Yes... Fisherman will Lilkely buy another product.. And maybe they should But Iam certain The curado I will be slow.... .. Like molasses in the winter time!
  17. Yea... Ok... When you just leisurely stroll in to Wherever and get one.... Post back It will not happen I am not exactly sure why... But it's going to be more like many months Rather than weeks
  18. You can never really know what Shimano will /won't do They can't even suppy the current customer base. It will likely be a Full year before everyone who would like to have a curado I will Get a chance for one. There's no reason for it, I guess shimano knows better Than there customers. Skippy
  19. Thanks Dwight! I am in Hawg-heaven! Good fishing to you sir Skippy

I will call if someone will be so kind as to Post the telecommunications number I will call them that's good enuff for me Heard and read lots of good things about hawgtech It's a fair price for a USA Company... No hill too high for a climber! Right?
  24. So anyone using this company? I have tryed and tryed to load this page and I simply cannot get it to work. I had thought hard about a order for one but haven't been able to look at them. Idk.... These handles show nice carbon fiber weave or are they straight black. How about other company's? Also it's for a shimano crank and a long handle w/o knobs is what I had in mind. Been trying for ten days..... Nothing No troubles anywhere else just them. Even sent a PM but I can see that not panning out Idk..... Anyone gotta Ida ? Skippy
