Like I said, it’s an Elite series issue. Write them directly. If you really want to initiate change, this is the best way forward. They don’t allow nets, they have no care for boat flipping etc etc. Take the complaint to the source. They (Bassmaster) have a huge following of fisherman and a large fan base. Young fisherman emulate these tournament fisherman in all ways, particularly rod and reel selection, baits etc.

I use those and they’re awesome baits,

I have a beast of a spinning rod by Edge/NFC. It’s a 7’3” Spinning rod. Full carbon handle titanium rings with zirconium inserts. I don’t know the ring maker. I’m guessing AT, but idk. It’s a 735 MBR. I missed that part when I bought it from ALFC. Tip heavy like you’d expect, rated to 3/4 ounce. It’s a great caster but is not a sensitive rod at all. Rather than send it back I just kept it. Point being you can find Edge rods on the used market and at a very good price. I just cut edge out of the equation. 🤣 I’ll use it in the salt no worries… Hope you get squared away man.

Excellent recommendation for Florida. It’s a very versatile bait. Swimming it along the top, or Texas rigged in a traditional fashion. Plus they’re American made and are priced very well..

That’s great! More distance, less braking. A 1/4 with trailer isn’t exactly a bait designed with bombcasting in mind but it’s working with your upgrades via rod choice. I’d call it a success. Those were JDM bearings correct?

There was a murder scene on top of my Toyota, a bobcat snagged a chicken off the top, drug it down the hood with a 3 foot scratch on my hood. It was a mess.. my neighbor ask me about 10 days later if I’d seen a white chicken. So I told him what I think happened to it. They’re thick in my region. Very much so..(Bobcats)

I saw him catch one on a red/orange rattle bait, looked like an Excalibur maybe..

I believe in scent. Here’s just one example. Fishing with my 3 yo son in the Ohio River on the Devonian fossil beds (Falls of the Ohio State Park) I was fishing for Sauger. I had on a power bait of some shape that was orange-brown w an owner sled head of about 2/0. Bait was 3”. Had my bait at the shore line in water about 1’ deep me and my boy were taking a food break but my rod tip was displaying vibration, this went on for 10 minutes, finally I picked up the rod and felt it and I jerked.. it was a 2 1/2 pound sauger, with the bait inside it’s mouth and it was chewed up pretty badly. That fish picked up that power bait and sat there chewing on it for 10 minutes. Totally unreal. Made me a believer

Welcome brother, I’ve fished the Osceola forest a lot.. trails run thru it (sand) and I’m betting you’ve been in there. There are probably hundreds of ponds, strip pits, etc and huge, bodacious FLMB in them. 😉

Exactly it was all about trying to view an Elite series event that was dominated by scoping. It sucked as a spectator..

Yea I know I been posting on it a lot.. but some of the changes are unenforceable. Scott told on hisself and they made him walk the plank. Maybe it was much worse than Scott is saying it was but I just love the guy, Florida and I’m in court divorcing Bassmaster 🤣

@AlabamaSpothunter I agree with you also on Texas being the better fisheries, for me, Florida is where my heart is, but Texas, no doubt has done incredible management. It’s about time for me to do a trip down there.
