The big girls like to hang around the crappie & bluegill, below schools typically, green trout gals are sorta lazy. Caught an 11.2 in Florida fishing for specks with a very small minnow, about 13 feet of water.. the bite was fast & furious, then for about 4 minutes..nothing, but lo & behold, that float began to skim, then dive deep, & BAM! I hope I never forget that. What a beautiful fish that was released..( against my initial thoughts..) Wade Boggs dad weighed it, tagged it & kept her in the fish camps tank till I decided.. Boggs dad was a super cool dude.. Of course Wade was pretty bad ass too! Any of you era baseball fans wanna guess the lake? Lol..

Rescue diver here..what would you like to know? I've dove in Puerto Rico, St. Thomas V.I. Wreck dove off The coast line of Florida ( both sides ) performed dives & measurements in 6" of visibility on a civil war era vessel carrying shingles and ultimately sank... speared a few amberjack off the coast of Jacksonville..(big uns..) then sold them back in port. I've even did a bit in Italy when I was TAD to Sig, Sicily, Italy. In fact, I've had more fun & joy just snorkeling in the Caribbean.. I highly recommend you pursue it. Learn it. Invest wisely and buy a spare air bottle. I used Scuba pro equipment. One thing..if your prone to panic, you might reconsider. Some folks are, some are not. I was & still am, NOT prone to panic. I recommend diving in groups for a season. Snorkeling, and just gen. recreational diving..then see how you feel. It's an unbelievable blast, but fraught with potential danger. Best wishes & don't forget to place your diver down flag..

Had a single whitetail swim by at night several years ago. I could hear it coming, I had zero clue it was a deer. That Doe was getting on with the dog paddle let me tell ya! Night fishing is always special..

Croix has stellar customer service along with a awesome warranty/replacement option. Check the balance point on the rod and reel together. Lower priced 7' rods tend to be nose heavy. Not exactly a problem but gets old Fishing 8 to 10 hour days.. Sounds like you like the croix..that would be my choice since you really, really like it, lol. Good luck..

Used snaps for years. No issues. ( use spro ) I also use spro bearing swivels on Carolina rigs. Some believe a snap interferes with the action of a crankbait, ( balsa ) I do not.. Use quality stuff though.

I wouldn't use ethanol in ANY 2 cycle motor, ever. However, it sounds as if you have fuel delivery issues. Good luck siphoning your fuel. I might suggest hiring some inner city types for the task, they may revel in the notion..

I was driving home last week, it was exactly 5:05 am. Sky was just getting really pretty out here in the corn. I pulled in the drive and dad said you hear em? (Coyotes) I said yea, I hear em..he points, i said no, over there..he laughed and says " there are two packs, one over there, one over here ( he points ) d**n..your right, 2 packs. That really happened...but Dad died 3 years ago..I'm telling you, sometimes, just occasionally, something will happen and they (whomever) will suddenly be there.. I miss him. He taught me to hunt and to fish.. Sometimes the reminders of things, hits like a locomotive. Such is life for us all.. Peace.
