Shoot give me a old timey jig & file & I can sharpen those hooks up no problem. The best part is, they catch fish just as good as my tungsten jigs do. I won't lie though.. love me some jigs with owner hooks.

I've caught them to 8 pounds out of that lake. Do the work, there's no shortcuts to these fish in Florida. Before long & maybe even now, these fish will attempt to spawn, weather permitting. You can also attempt golden shiners if your so inclined. 7" straight worms & snagless sally's were key for me. Watch the snakes, Kingsley was loaded with them when I was there. Good luck..

I suppose your question is valid, but I have no answer. There is a guy on here who fishes with gummy worms & swears by them. You could cut them in half length wise and use them. Best of luck finding a answer to this puzzling question.

Ok, so what's the daily quota?

I don't use tables. I'm only aware of the lunar cycle as it relates to the fish spawn & insect, crayfish hatch etc..Catt is right though, weather has to trump the moon once the moons influence has been determined or realized. Sunlight & Temps are king after the moons influence. I think last winter there was a great thread on this subject and it's well worth reading.

I absolutely believe in the moon & it's effects on fishing & in many other things, ( insect hatches, crayfish etc..( human behavior ) Tom (WRB ) knows this subject very, very well. Another fisherman/biologist that firmly believed in it and also had great field experience/documentation, Was Doug Hannon. I don't claim to understand all the Science on the subject, but I'm convinced, & have been for a couple decades. For me, the matter is decided.

I flip with it still (20 to 30). I set the hook just fine. Nothing wrong with mono..there's something wrong with people who cry about mono though, lol. You could run shallow cranks with it, it won't destroy your action, it will keep it up to some degree. As with all mono, it will absorb some water & actually will cast better..imo Good luck with your fishing..
