  1. Nice Fish! I was always taught when catch and releasing to never put the fish on the ground. I always release all healthy bass. Brian
  2. Welcome fellow new englander

  6. Hit up Saltonstall today (saturday). Got there about 615am and Headed left from the dock and fished the shallows and the first drop off. Ground 8 I got into a nice 2.5 - 3lb LMB on a 4 inch lite blue swim bait. He hit it right off the weed line and dove hard. I was using my 15 year old Shimano bc (basically a winch) on a nice med/heavy rod and it was a chore getting her in. She kept diving under the boat. About a half hr later I hooked in the same area what I believed to be a 3+ lb LMB but I lost her next to the boat. Around 11 I got into a 2lber in two feet of water. Got my last one around noon also in very shallow water. All my fish came on a 4in lite blue paddle tail swim bait on one of those hooks with the sliding weight. Brian

  9. Welcome. My brother just moved up your way. I'm looking forward to getting up there. Best of luck! Brian
  10. Very sad.... You have to wonder the legitimacy of the other Lake records he currently holds.
  11. If you'd like to let me know where it is I can check it out and report back to you. Lol I have a immense collection of soft plastics and I'm always keeping and eye out for a kid who can use a few. It's fun giving them a type or style theyve never seen. Brian
  12. I'm a diehard baseball fan and that's a Great story. Thanks 0119.
  13. I'll throw the daredevil every once in awhile mostly outta habit from growing up. Still catches me fish. I do think there are better alternatives most of the time. Ps. I've got a very old one that looks good on my key chain Brian
  14. Welcome. Rog. Thanks for your service. Brian
  15. Ted Williams. I remember hearing that he's in the fly fishing hall of fame(if there really is one). I'm willing to venture a guess that his 15\10 vision sure helped. Brian
  16. What Krittergritter said... I Don't mind em. They've saved some days for me, nice fighting fish.
  17. Deep woods off 40 deer. Might have to try that jungle juice

Hope I don't come off sounding stupid but what s the ice boom? Thanks
  21. Every thing looks strange on the water after dark.
  22. Just picked up a bunch of older mepps, rooster tails, Abu reflex and Eagle claw inline spinners most in decent condition. What do you guys think, are they collectibles or should I fish them? Thanks Brian
  23. @edsbar and I will be hitting up East Twin on Monday. It's supposed to be 80° and I'm guessing the water will be high from all the recent rain. We will probably spend most of the time targeting bass/crappie and CP in the shallows of West Twin but wouldn't mind a nice trout or salmon from East. Any advice? We don't have down riggers or a fish finder. Thanks
