Although I never fished out of the 120, I used to have what eventually became the 102. Overall it was a great little boat for me. Two people will get a little cramped, but it's definitely doable. For such a small boat, it was stable and handled water fairly well. Ideally it was best for small lakes, but I had it out in some pretty knarly stuff and lived to tell about it. The 120 is it's big brother and a more roomy option. It should be a bit more stable and thanks to the layout alone will have a bit more room, and it's got more in the lines of storage. It's not the perfect platform, but from the sounds of it, it'll work for what you want it for.

Like Slo said, you can possibly sell the prop as is, or maybe get it reworked and sell it to someone. You'll also want to test props before purchasing a new one. Stainless and aluminum props of the same pitch rarely run the same numbers. Blade design alone can and will effect final RPM.

It depends on the situation. My first reaction to combating short strikes is to add a trailer hook. There may be times I'll catch a few that are just barely hooked or lose a few fish and if that's the case I add a trailer hook. When I add a trailer, it's usually in the situation where the fish are just bumping at it. I feel that changing the profile slightly sometimes helps them to commit a bit better.

Does it have a shield in the name?

If it's sublimated just throw it into the washing machine and dry it. I've got 7 or 8 and that's all I ever do with them. Like @unhallowed I also work at a clothing company and we make sublimated shirts and there's no special washing instructions. Once the shirt is printed, it's there to stay and unless screwed up by the manufacturer, nothing is going anywhere.

Actually had a little open water up by me last week. Unfortunately there has been a cold spell rolling through that has skimmed the few open holes back over. Last night we got probably 2" of snow, but the weather man is calling for 40's by Wednesday so that should be moving us in the right direction and hopefully an early ice out this year. These pictures were taken on Saturday on Lake Holcombe. You can definitely see what was open and what wasn't, but also how cracked up the remaining ice is. ^If you get up high enough, you can almost get the illusion of open water haha

As long as the guy guarantees the used one I'd go that route. Make sure it's got fresh oil in it when you install it and take it our and run it hard a few times. Check the oil to make sure there's no issues and if not you should be good to go.

Filler plate is a good option especially in your situation. My friend covered a bigger hole that was drilled into his tracker console by a previous owner with an aluminum type tape, and then placed a decal over that. Not perfect, but good enough for it not to be an eyesore. Not ideal for your situation, but if anyone else sees this looking to solve that issue it's out there.

Maybe Minn Kota has the same quality control policy as the window place I used to work at. When inspecting and you find a flaw, stand back 6 feet, if you can no longer see defect, item has passed inspection, if you can still see defect, stand back an additional 10 feet. If you can no longer see defect item has passed inspection...

I've fished out of many different color boats, my personal preference is blue...not because it has anything to do with the fishing, I just like blue. Even in clear water I don't see it making much of a difference.

Given space constrictions in my boat my 2 tm batteries are group 24 and I run a group 27 starting batter that runs all electronics and lights as well.

If you think of it as a spinnerbait without blades and fish them in a similar manner to a spinnerbait you'll catch fish on them. They tend to excel in the clearer waters when fish will still chase, but not commit to a spinnerbait. They can work in off colored water too.

Nothing wrong with the setup you're using for jerkbaits. The short rod helps to work the bait easier no matter whether it's spinning or casting. Personally I throw most of mine on 6'6" M/F casting rod with 12 lb fluoro. I've got a few spinning rods I'd switch to if I was throwing a smaller jerkbait or if it got really windy.

My uncle had the same thing happen on his Yamaha, and in some freakish deal a bolt had backed out and somehow seized things up. You most likely won't be as lucky. You will most likely have to buy a rebuilt lower unit, or find a used one. With the age of your motor, you might want to try and find a used one as it would be more cost effective as long as it's in good shape.

I found it on there a few years ago, but I was in the same boat. They happened to have it as one of the items for their Christmas sale and when I saw it, I figured I'd give it a shot. It's really nice even if for no other fact that it keeps your rod tips together. Doorways are no longer an issue when carrying multiple rods.

I don't and won't listen to music while fishing. Part of what I enjoy about fishing is being out in nature, and the sights and sounds of it all. Not to mention listening to music will often cause you to miss something that could put another fish or two in your boat. I might consider putting in earbuds on a long run down the lake, but like Ajay said, listening might prevent you from hearing a minor issue and stopping before it turns itself into a larger one.

Good luck with that, I've said it many times too, but the bait monkey always finds me. He's just too dang good for me to stop him. Maybe I'll be able to resist some day, ha who am I kidding!?

I definitely like the sleeper look as well. I wish I had money as I'd have a few things hopped up. I'd really like to get a Ranger Z 518C which is rated for a 200 and put a Yamaha SHO on it. With nothing more than an ECU reflash they can be bumped to 300 HP and if you change the rev limiter they can be up into that 350 hp range. I just saw a video of a build of one on youtube the other day but I couldn't find it again.

I use spike-it dye and pens. That's more for a color change than scent. For that I use Kick'n Bass, it's a great product that stays on for a considerable amount of time.

Plus this is something you'd rarely get pulled over for. Thanks to states like Tennessee and Wisconsin and others that don't require titling of boat trailers, unless the popo happens to see your vehicle licence plate, AND your boat numbers, AND you're in that state it's pretty much impossible to tell if the trailer needs a licence plate.
