Choice is yours however dirty jigs makes one of the finest jigs on the market with competive prices I would check those out as well. There California swim jigs are hands down the best swim jig on the market. Also the colors on dirty jigs skirts are the most realistic I've seen to date.

It's too bad they couldn't have got you the iRod because that's a sweet rod!! I have 4 irods and my favorite is there "air" series that iRod Air 754 is one mean rod! I've heard nothing but good things about dobyns so it sounds like it worked out for you. Do you own any other iRods?

15-20lb fluorocarbon of your choice but I would recommend 16lb Sunline shooter.

I am an avid Daiwa/Shimano user and I have had great success using my shimano spinning reels vs. Daiwa spinning. The the OP said the shimano is just a little easier to keep "tame" especially with fluorocarbon in the 6-8lb range.

Do you realize how strong 8lb Sunline is? I've seen 18lb hybrid stripers caught on 6lb Sunline and that fish took him through a brush pile! You are fine with 8lb

Friend of mine is buying a new 1648 tracker grizzly from bass pro shops we are taking delivery of it this coming Friday. He does not know much about how to configure these boats however he knows what he wants. He is getting a 24v 65lb minn kota edge for the bow and wants to run an lowrance elite 7x on the bow as well. He does not want a unit with GPS/chart plotter he just wants regular 2d sonar and downscan imagining does the elite 7x hdi come with the downscan transducer?
