I do own both and also purchased the MGX on sale at 59.99. I like both and do not prefer one over the other, so might suggestive whichever you can get for the best price.

I picked up the MH spinning. Did not really need it and have not used it yet, could not pass up for the price. Handling it, the fast tip should help with casting and the fit and finish is excellent.

Got the MH spinning, might have gone M but sold out and can use MH for heavier cover.

Adding a spinning rod, looks like a great rod for the price.

Avid-X will likely be my next spinning rod.

Gander has them for 69.99 with Pfllueger rebate plus another 10 e-gift card but looks like they are sold out other than size 40.

I was able to get an 7.0 MH Extreme 40% off for 60, less 10 with the rod trade in. Prefer the cork grip and happy with a couple of other Extremes I have had for a few years. No black Carbonlite's at my local store.

I got to use the reel all day today, was impressed. Caught 17 bass, largest 4.04, handled all well. No issues and happy with purchase.

It is smooth, quiet also. Like the handle grip. Drag seems to work well, arguably not as precise as some others, Stradic, Abu SX. I am planning to use it more this coming weekend, if I have more feedback following, I will update. Steve
