What's your #1 Lure of all time??
Pure bass catcher would be a 5" soft stick bait, pick a color. My favorite to fish would be a popping hollow belly frog.

BPS Stick-O's?.......Nope
I've been using the 5 3/8 stick-o exclusively for years now. It's been the only Brand and Size I buy. No need for me to keep trying other manufacturers as I might have done in Years past. I stock up when on sale, there are great bang for your buck and catch tons of bass, what else does anybody want?

Good frog rod under $100
I've been using the H2O xpress ethos from academy sports the last two years, in the 7' heavy power, fast action. It's paired with a Lews tournament MB with 40 lb braid. It has worked out great for me, a pleasure to fish with and a great bang for your buck at $59. I bought it from hearing bluebasser always talking them up, and he's right.

Beaver Style Hook...what's your preference...
I Use the Owner Rig N Hook in the 4/0 size. I like the shape of the hook and when rigged the plastic helps protect the knot better, unlike traditional flipping hooks.

What line for plastics & jigs on a bait caster?
I use 40lb braid in heavy weeds you describe. In more open/clear water I like sunline sniper flouro.

Something Scary Is Happening
Apparently these female squatches aren't as rare as one might think. I've just seen half a dozen of them at my local Wal-Mart this morning.

Braided line and using a sharpie... I don't get it
Why purchase green when you can have a hi vis line above the water for excellent line watching ability also to go along with feel. You can color the first 3, 6, 9 or whatever amount of feet you desire. My 50 year old eyes have trouble seeing the green as it lay on the surface, that is why I prefer the yellow. You can see that slight tick in your line so much easier. Even when I use a mono/fluoro leader ( which is not all that often) I still color the first few feet.

Braided line and using a sharpie... I don't get it
Here's what I do and my reasoning. I've been using hi vis yellow braid exclusively for years, coloring the first 5 or 6 feet with a brown/and or dark green marker. For me I like having a more stealth like approach under water, while having excellent line watching ability above. IMHO purchasing green braid is useless.

Aresenal Expensive or multiple?
I'd opt for the 8 - $100 rods. There are a ton of good rods in the $100 range. I own Dobyns champion extremes retail $350 down to academy H2O xpress retail $60 and many in between there's not a lot of difference IMO. To me the Dobyns over priced and the H2O is a steal.
