  1. 832 with 16lb FC Sniper leader. However, if I am fishing wood cover, I prefer the more abrasion resistant qualities of straight 16lb Sniper.
  2. Try to find one of the old model Daiwa Ballistic SH spinning reels.
  3. Probably a 30lb class carp. If you are talking about a fish that I saw and wanted to catch,it would be a 20-25lb Steelhead I saw in a shallow pool. I thought it was a log, but then it started swimming.
  4. Premier is good, Avid is great, LTB is greater, Legend Elite is greatest.
  5. I've done that by accident a couple times (minus the epoxy)...
  6. 1/4oz hair jig T rigged rage craw Punch rig 3/4oz w/ Ugly Otter Dropshot rigged Trick Worm 3/16th oz finesse jig Wacky rigged 5'' Senko Lipless crankbait
  7. 2/0 VMC worm hook. It's a round bend hook, so the hookups you get are very good. Use a 1/8th oz sliding tungsten weight. Target weed pockets, points, laydowns, pretty much any cover or structure that you can cast/pitch to. Oh, and pick up some Mend-It, it will save you a whole lot of money.
  8. Great reel. Not my favorite for spinnerbaits, but it will do the job just fine. Just doesn't have enough power for my liking. It would feel right at home throwing topwater and jigs though, and it palms great.
  9. I like to match the follow-up bait with the topwater I am using. For example, if I am using a 4'' white spook, i will throw back with a 4'' white Senko. If I am throwing a buzzbait with a 5'' watermelon red fluke trailer, I will throw back with a 5'', watermelon red fluke. Seems to help, especially in clear water.
  10. Football jig: Dragging along the bottom Swim jig: Horizontal presentation Casting jig: Excels at wood cover Irish jig: Good for everything! (except catching fish).
  11. The XF with a quality mono would work fine.
  12. I'd say get a Tatula for 100 and a 7'MH/F St. Croix Avid. I like 30lb braid for spinnerbaits when fishing in cover, and in more open water I like a good quality monofilament or copolymer.
  13. Is it wrong that I listen to Biggie Smalls while bass fishing?
  14. Largemouth: 1.5lb Smallies: 3.5lbs
  15. Been looking at the 7' M Glass Crank Expride and the 7'2'' MH mod/fast Expride in the 2pc models for cranking, and was wondering if it is a 50/50 split or if it separates at the handle. Also if anyone has experience with these rods, how did they perform? Rod will be paired with a Calcutta 201D. Thanks
  16. 7' ML rod, 1000-2000 spinning reel, and 6lb copolymer or 8lb braid.
  17. 3000 size Daiwa Ballistic will hold 200 yards of 12lb braid without backing.
  18. Braid: 832 Mono: Big Game Fluoro: FC Sniper
  19. I had a 4lb smallie spit up a HUGE crawfish, almost 5''.
