  1. Congrats on the first one! Frog fishing is one of the most exciting ways to fish imo.
  2. Look around. You can find Abu reels for about 30 dollars less than retail.
  3. Next stop : Shimano lol
  4. On their website it looks like they are no longer selling Endurance or the regular Max rods. Just their new line of MAX 3D rods coming this month. Why would they get rid of one of their best selling rods? I already emailed them asking if they discontinuing the Endurance lineup. Still waiting for a reply
  5. Easier to fish but hard on the wallet..
  6. In person it felt a lot bigger than that.
  7. I changed the title to that question after he posted that, lol
  8. Wait until TW has a sale is what I'd do.
  9. I have a picture of the fish by my rod, so I measured that and it was a bout 20-21 inches.
  10. I didn't bring a tape measure with me either, I was in a hurry lol. I have some more pictures that give a better perspective. Fish's eyes were bulging a little bit too
  11. I really regret not having a scale.. I think it may have been around 5 lbs.
  12. Are Spro's and Storm Arashi's bills very durable? Anyone ever crack one?
  13. My 1.5s always seem to get cracked right down the middle of the lip. What are some other brands where the lip won't break?
  14. Well I made a about a month ago asking how I could catch bigger fish in this pond I've been fishing forever, and Ive finally done it. This is Indiana, don't hate on the size lol. It was 55 degrees, 15-20 mph wind and I was chucking a KVD 2.5 in Chartreuse Sexy Shad. I don't own a scale, but i know for a fact that this IS the biggest one I've ever caught from there.
  15. What's wrong with throwing the same thing?
  16. I can find a Type R for only 130 bucks though? I'm gonna get the Tat just to taste a different brand lol
  17. Rain keeps the weekend warriors away
  18. You answered your own question. Larger line capacity = more line = more distance to throw Lew's BB1 Pro comes to mind, theres plenty more
  19. I usually keep it the same for all lures. One wingspan, incase you want to retie
  20. Yes I agree, The TP can handle pretty light lures and the reel itself is fairly light, while the Tatula holds lots of line and seems more bulky. 2 Different classes but I was just wondering how they compare in terms of quality.
  21. I use braid on my setups aswell. The time's I've fished without a leader I haven't caught anything, and my water is fairly stained. I guess leaders are a confidence thing for me. Anyways, I use Seagar Red Label as leader material. It's pretty cheap (around 14 bucks) and works pretty good. If you have confidence in your leader knot, then go ahead and tie anything on. If you want avoid losing lures you can wrap your line around a branch and pull. Usually works for me.
  22. Im going to give Daiwa a shot. Looking to expand the horizon of a little more
  23. How does the Tatula compare to the Tournament Pro? Better or is it a downgrade?
