  1. Zoom Trick Worm is my favorite. Junebug color, 3/0 roundbend hook, and a 1/4 oz bullet weight. A floating worm is essentially just an unsalted worm. Salt makes plastics sink. Whenever you go to buy trick worms, they'll say "The Original", meaning no salt.
  2. I think I'm going to start using a copolymer leader with braided line when fishing jigs and texas rigs. Is this a good idea? I'm thinking about using Yo-Zuri hybrid line. Has anyone used this line? Or should I just stick to fluorocarbon leaders?
  3. Mine came in a couple days ago. It feels really nice in hand. Very smooth. On Tackle Warehouse's website they're $89.99 with a $20 rebate.

Still haven't recieved an email saying it was shipped.
  5. I think the Powell Endurance 7'2" Mag-Heavy would be a good frog rod.
  6. BPS Carbonlite - Pro qualifier combo
  7. Get yourself some 60-70 pound braid for that stuff
  8. You may only need a MH if you're going to buy a Veritas. Those things are generally rated a power above, If you get to feel them in hand, see which one feels better for you.

On Academy's website they're 2.49 USD with free shiping on orders $39 or more.
  10. I'm in Indiana as well. The Rapala X-Rap has been doing me well, as well as spinnerbaits.
  11. I placed an order on Memorial Day, and they still haven't even shipped it out. I emailed them four days ago and I still haven't even got a reply. Is this company known to take forever to process orders? I won't be buying from them anymore.
  12. Zoom Trick Worm Watermelon Candy 3/0 or 4/0 round bend with a 1/4 oz bullet weight
  13. I was going to go with the 7' but I was afraid of getting hung up in trees from the bank. Will the 6'8" MH have as much power as a 7' MH Powell Max still?
  14. I'm fishing from the bank + the cover isn't too heavy. Powell Max 683 6'8" MH XF
  15. You'll be able to fish light swimjigs and football head jigs (1/4 - 3/8 oz)
  16. I'm having lots of luck with Zoom Super Flukes (Baby bass) with 3/0 EWG hooks
  17. How stiff is the 7' MH? Do the new models feel like a broomstick?
  18. David, have you used Senkos on your MH ***? Do they cast well?
  19. Others saying 3/8 oz jigs + trailer would be a bad idea for that Medium rod. I'm pretty confused. On the review that TackleTour did, it says otherwise. http://www.tackletour.com/review13omencastingrodpg2.html
  20. Might just have to buy another combo...
  21. I think I'm going go with a 7'3" Medium Fast *** Black Rod rated for 1/4 - 5/8 oz lures. I'll be primarily using 1/4 or 3/8 oz jigs with small trailers, and weightless flukes. Sound good?
  22. Would a medium power *** Black have enough backbone to set the hook with 3/8 oz jigs + a trailer? I only listed MH rods because of this
  23. Primarily will be throwing weightless flukes and 5" senkos, texas rigs and jigs no bigger than 3/8 oz, and maybe some spinnerbaits here and there. I will be fishing from the shore on small local ponds. This will be paired up with a $99 Lew's Speed Spool *** Black 7'1" Med Hvy Abu Garcia Veritas 6'6" Med Hvy Shimano Crucial 6'8" Med Hvy I am open to other rod suggestions as well. Also, does a 6'6" rod and a 7' rod make a difference when using jigs?
  24. Around here, if you go out without any sort of repellent, you WILL be eaten up. I use Buggins Natural Spray. What about you guys?
