Hook Sizing For Soft Plastics
Generally I use EWG for thick plastics, round bend for thin. For your ribbontail worms, 7" and under I will use a 3/0 hook, EWG or round bend depending on how thick it is. If you are using a lure like a tube, then I would use an EWG, due to the thickness. Hope this helps

Senkos
I use a Medium XF perfectly fine for weightless 5" senkos. I'm sure with the MH you will do just fine, the backbone will help

Night Bass Fishing
Any dark lures. Preferably Black. You want to create a silhouette in the water

What Is Your Most Successful Use Style With A Senko? Texas Rigged, Wacky, Texas Rigged Weighted, Other?
Texas Rigged Weightless always works for me. Cast it out, and let the bait work for you.

Rooster Tail Tipped With Live Minnow
Fishing conditions were awful today. Muddy water from rain, and it was cold and windy. I used a firetiger rooster tail tipped with live minnows I caught. As soon as I would cast it out the bass would just nail it. Whenever I ran out of minnows the bass never bit. I suggest you guys go out and try this if you haven't already. This was my first time doing it but it seemed to work pretty well. The bass were decently sized, too.

You Have $50. What Do You Buy?
X2. Also, I'd throw in some Zoom Super Flukes and Yum Dingers. Can't go wrong with either. For the super flukes - 5/0 round bend hooks, Dinger - 4/0 EWG

Just wondering, and how much do you charge for a full cleaning and lubrication of spinning reels / baitcasters?

Why Are People So Inconsiderate
The thing is, these guys were trolling down the bank for about 20 yards until they got to me. Surely, they had to have seen me. There was nothing around me to block their view of me. I was out in the open, no trees or nothing. The bank goes in a straight line also. So I don't see why they never noticed me fishing. After they passed me, they asked me if I was catching anything. LOL.

Why Are People So Inconsiderate
I actually just decided to wait until they passed before casting again. I'm pretty sure my parents knew one of the guys that was fishing anyway, because I recognized him but didn't know his name. Thanks for all the stories lol

Why Are People So Inconsiderate
I am only 15 years old, and our generation is getting a bad reputation because of the things that some of the people do, such as what those teens did in your story.

Why Are People So Inconsiderate
I didn't even see those guys catch any fish today. I caught 6. Karma is real, I guess

Why Are People So Inconsiderate
I was bank fishing at our local park's pond earlier today. Today, there was a boat out on the water with 2 guys. They were pitching towards the bank, moving their way down to where I was fishing. When they finally reached the water where I was, I had already caught a fish and was releasing it. About 10 feet out, they decide to cut me off and continue to fish right in front of me. I couldn't even believe my eyes! Is there some unwritten rule that says boats have priority over bank fisherman, or is it just me? This has happened multiple times with different people in my days of fishing there.

What Do Y'all Think?

Is This A Versatile Combo?
Reel : Lew's Speed Spool 6.4:1 - $99 Rod : Falcon BuCoo 7' MH Mod-Fast - $109 The rod is rated for 1/4 oz to 3/4 oz lures, I was wondering if I should use this rod for rod for multiple applications such as lipless crankbaits, texas rigs, weightless flukes and stick baits, and medium-small sized spinnerbaits. I won't be using anything bigger than a 1/2 oz lure, and seldom will I use a 1/2 oz. So I was wondering if I should go with the 7' BuCoo or the 6'10" model. The 6'10 BuCoo is a MH Fast that handles 3/16 to 5/8 oz lures. Any suggestions for which would work better for an all around?

Are There Fish In Flooded Fields?
Just wondering about the flooded fields, but don't want to look silly out there fishing by the highway, lol

Lots of fields flooded around here, esp. ones by rivers.

Duckett Micro Magic Vs Veritas
Is spending the extra money worth it for the Micro Magic over the Veritas? Veritas has a 1 year warrranty, while Micro Magic has a 20 year warranty.

What Does This Mean?
I think it was luck. About a week ago, I caught 2 nice largemouth out of like 10 tiny bass. Both bass hit my lure as I was reeling it back in to shore to cast out again.

Small Tackle Bags
I use a $20 academy tackle bag. It comes with 4 tackleboxes, and 3 side pockets. Just big enough for bank fishing, but not too big.

Need Help Picking Second Ever Baitcaster
I would invest in a Carrot Stix or an Abu Garcia Veritas. As for the reels, you can't go wrong with the BPS Pro Qualifier.

Newbie To Bass Fishing
It would be helpful if you are casting weightless plastics and basically any lure less than 1/4 oz.
