  1. I could probably fill up 3 more trays if I went single crank to slot.....
  2. Tackle JUNKIE... I have some other misc tackle that I haven't put away, and I am in constant rotation of where my tackle goes. When LTB and now MTB come in I have to reorganize.
  3. I bought one in my last TW order, but I can't bring myself to open. So I put it in my side stash. I have this bag (Side stash that kind of empty, but filling quick) of baits that I don't want to put in my main. I feel that I don't have room and fear of I open the proverbial can of worms an put them in the main bag I am going to freak out about space, and but more 3700's... thus laying to the need to full those now empty spaces.. see my conundrum?
  4. Did you go to jpanglers.com? How are most of you getting you over seas lures and at what price?
  5. I wish I had more boxes to be that organized with my jigs. My thought though is if I have it, I want it on me. So I cram ask my jigs into a larger area, and I put 3, 4 even 5 cranks onto on area.. maybe I have to much..
  6. Great to have another sponsor, welcome aboard.
  7. There are so many great lakes up that way. Lake Winni is one. If you go through Outing hit Roosevelt lake, great fishing!
  8. I went to that, and it is the same old same old. I just didn't know if there was a tackle swap out anything such add that.
  9. Oh in 2 weeks I am planning to hit lake Pepin.. continuous season on that board water area.
  10. I know I am planning on going pike fishing on the 9 at my favorite honey hole. But I have to say I am more than disappointed about bass opener. My normal fishing partner(my brother in law) was told he is on call all that weekend, so no where but home for him.. leaving me with my novice brother. This has me thinking and putting this out there. Anyone who is looking for a weekend partner this season let me know. I strictly c&r unless you will eat it. I can use my boat (just fyi... older Sears boat, but hey gets me on the lake), or I have no problem meeting and chucking in some gas $$ if we take your boat. I just want to get stuck like last year. So many times I was open to go and no one to go with on the boat, leaving me to shore fish.
  11. Hold out for the Cabelas imo.. I love my magnum. It's durable, and can withstand a beating.
  12. With the river being low, and the ice melt I'm not taking the boat out, so only shore. As far as international I might be wrong on the term, but I can fish pool two (if you know the mn & wi area) which is Hastings area. The season there is continuous. I just know I'm not into bobber fishing for crappie, and I am dying to fish. But I know there is a lot more to rivers such as eddies and slack current. And a whole bunch of other terms I am not 100% about.
  13. So, I just learned this year that parts of the Mississippi river here in Minnesota fall under international boarder fishing guide lines. Lot of rules made simple is that I can C&R year round in some pools. But I have never river fished, and was debating going this week. What can you suggest? I don't want to take my boat out, well because I don't trust it 100%. So what are your tips, how do I look for a good spot?
  14. Yeah. Normal size soft plastics will fit two rows. I have about 26 ish packs per box. Great for stacking, and if you have a lot you can always label the boxes.
  15. Plano 3731.. works great
  16. so I just choose from these and put it in my Bassmaster bag. that way I'm not taking everything.
  17. I have a 3600 style soft bag for when I go out. When I leave to go out fishing I just pick out my plastics for the day from my home storage. At home I have 3 boxes. Two are the Plano pro latch utility storage 3731. These work great for your normal size bags (Havocs, zooms and so on) My other box I use is a Flambeau 4150 terminal tackle file. This works okay for over sized badge such as 7, 8in and larger worms. I wish there was a better option for the larger, but it works, plus I can add odd packages such add Basstrix with no problem. When my son wakes up I can take a pick or two. You can find the above at TW.
  18. I would love to find a deal life that. Best I have gotten was a drill at Wal-Mart. They miss labeled a $300 cordless for $50... But I have gotten friends who have found reels at Wal-Mart (Abu Garcia's silver and blacks) for under $20 for a combo. Our fishing glasses that where $30 for $10. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough.
  19. So I think I just put in my last mail order before the season. I still need some items here and there (Like line, and to stock up on some more lures), but I am not activly looking for large orders. Last orders I place consisted a new PFD, a couple hair jigs for walleye fishing, a D&M Custom chatter, and a Z Man project Chatter. (Oh and 2 orders from the BR comunity)
  20. Chart, and clear, but I also picked up a red to die tips.
  21. He was with me looking at things and asking questions the whole time. I would point out a set of like 4 different spinners and told him to pick one. He would ask me what was better and why, and what are the perks. So it wasn't like I was blindly point out things and saying buying that.
  22. I spent a little over $100 and he got stocked up. I didn't get things like swims and glides. Plus I was nice and have him some if my tackle.
  23. I have found a way to beat the bait monkey! So my brother, who has gone fishing with me a couple times came to me yesterday. He said you know I don't have any tackle, and we are set to go on an fishing outing this year. Wait for it... He than ask me to buy a tackle box and stock it!!!! You can imagine I started to scream like a giddy school girl. Spending someone elses money on tackle!?! Yes please! But it was truly fun to go to Gander and shop for tackle with him. He knows little about fishing or tackle. I think the best part about this upcoming trip will be to teach him.
  24. I picked up 10 bags and cleared out the zoom collection. There wasn't tons, but it was too good of a price to pass up.
  25. So after spending the day at the sportsmen show here in town I decided to hit my local gander. I was finding Big Bite's, and Berkley's for $2. ( zoom lizard, hogs, and Berkley lizards and creatures) Matzou's 3 Pac square bills that dived 1-4 & 2-5 where originally $7, and now marked down to $5. Just thought I would tell those who are looking for some soft baits.
