Anyone trim their skirt in a teardrop to mimic a fish's profile?Kinda like a teardrop shape I guess.I've done this but I have yet to catch a fish on a skirted jig but all that could change tomorrow.

I'm good at learning.From others and from my experience on the water.I like to think I learn something each time out.

You won't have any problems.Usually if you leave them alone they leave you alone.Some of the younger ones will chase a topwater sometimes though.Or just about anything else you throw on top of them.

Yum has an anise oil attractant.I saw it at wal-mart the other day.I think it's 4.99.

How many rods do y'all use on an average trip?I normally use 4 to 5 but some of them pull double or triple duty so I could use a few more. I use one for worms,another for cranks,another for spinnerbaits,and a topwater/jig rod and sometimes a spinning outfit.

Get that rabid bowfin outta teh way with a spinnerbait next time,lol. Congrats on the bass though.

I use t-rigs and keep the wind at my back drifting me and kinda steer the line I want to fish with the TM.I cast ahead to likely looking spots and keep up with the slack as the boat gets closer.

I beat my old pb of 5 lbs. with this 6lb 5 oz.Hopefully this is just the beginning.It was hard to stop smiling! ;D

I missed what would have been my first jig fish this past weekend.He hit it on the initial fall and I wasn't paying close enough attention,lol. :'(

I like to power fish too but sometimes you just have to be patient and slow down and pick apart those "fishy" spots. It's hard for me to do but once I slow down and catch one I get a little more confidence in it and usually catch some more.

I like to use a fluke for a trailer sometimes and hook ups hven't been a problem with that.Never tried a grub though but I would imagine you'll do fine.

I really don't have a set amount of time to fish one lure,I kinda just go with my gut after awhile.Some days I may throw a lure for 10 minutes and switch and other times I may fish it for hours.It just depends on how confident I am in my selection that day. If I'm throwing a lure(a worm for example) and I'm just getting the tail nipped than I sometimes switch colors to see if the fish take it better or I'll go to a shorter worm in the same color.

Never tried the EZ but I do have the regular(in the green and Back box) mono on one of my rods.I like it pretty good.

I fish jigs,spinnerbaits and my carolina rig is braid to the swivel witha floro leader.I've read others on here who fish crankbaits.So basically just about everything you can imagine can be fished on braided line. That being said clear water is not the norm where I fish so if your water is clear that may limit your uses.
