Here's a reason to throw the 90. Although the 110 is only slightly bigger it hits the water a lot harder and deeper. I was fishing with my bro and there was weeds underneath the surface of the water. My 110's on the splashdown would go deep, grab these weeds, and I'd immediately be tangled up. The 90 was light enough that it didn't happen and he quickly outfished me, although when I was in weeds I was also catching fish. He was using a 90 Bone and I was using a 110 Munkybutt.
  2. I don't know how you'd launch/load with that plus get in and out of your boat without. But one of those at your house to put over the boat to keep mice out would be nice!
  3. I love my Shimano Stradic Ci4s. I had an Shimano FJ and it just wasn't nearly as good.
  4. Just an FYI, you can set up a Veterans account on Cabelas online site and get 5% off everyday. If you've bought as much stuff as I have, I could have saved a ton of money over the years. http://www.cabelas.com/custserv/custserv.jsp?pageName=MilitaryDiscountProgram
  5. Cabelas has the Daiwa Procyon EX Spinning Reel on sale for $99, $94 if you're a veteran, and Mustang inflatable PFDs for $199 which is $50 off.
  6. Thanks! Got the 2500 Procyon at Cabelas on sale for $94.....couldn't get lower than that. TW didn't have the 2500. Thanks for the help everyone.
  7. I bought 3 of the 2015's at that price when the 2016's came out and somehow lost one! Didn't know they made a 2500. That's what I'd want.
  8. Which size? They only have 2000, 3000, and 4000 it seems. I do have 2 Stradic and like them a lot.
  9. Need a new spinning reel. Tackle Warehouse has their 15% sale and I have 10% off gift cards. So I can get a spinning reel that costs more than $150 as long as it's under $150 after my 25% discount. I am going to add it to my Dobyns Fury medium 705 which is for Senko style lure weights. Probably a 2500 size reel? What would be the best Spinning Reel for this price?
  10. I have used Power Pro for years. Tried Power Pro Slick 8 two years ago and didn't like it. Went back to Power Pro.
  11. lol. Ironic. The boat itself is great. Just not got my needs.
  12. So are dual consoles good? I'd like to bring my wife, son, brother, and his gf. So, that's a lot of folks. lol. Only me, my bros gf, and I would be fishing though.
  13. I got the discount on a st. Croix Mojo Bass rod.
  14. Yeah. lol. I'm one of those guys who learns by making mistakes. lol Thanks. Yeah, I hate full windshield but the half windshields on a Ranger are almost just as bad. I hate feeling that cramped feeling when walking through full windshield, you think you're gonna break it.
  15. Ever want something bad, finally get it and then realize it's not what you thought? That's me and bassboats. I started out with a 14' jon boat and when I was in my mid 20's I got a used 2000 Crestliner Fishawk. I loved that boat. However, after getting into bass fishing I thought a bass fishing boat was in order. My next and current boat was a 2014 Stratos 186VLO. It's a really nice boat, no doubt. But then I realized that a bass boat wasn't the boat for me. I normally fish 2 to 5 people. After fishing in this boat I realized it's really a 2 person boat, fisherman and co-angler. Sure you can squeeze a third person up front but it gets crowded. If i had more room I could take the bow pedestal off and store it, thus leaving more room for 2 people up front and one in the back, but it lacks the storage to stow it, and I like having it with me. You really lose about 3 feet of space because of the way you sit down in a bass boat which makes a 19' foot boat more like a 15' boat. I've also noticed that hitting some hard waves can be really jarring on your spine. Perhaps some newer more expensive bassboat seats fix that problem. I know that boats with regular pedestal seats come with air-ride style seats. I thought that the low profile would be good for the wind but adding Talons to a boat can make that problem obsolete if you fish shallow a lot like I do. And the big casting deck is nice but I prefer to fish 1 person up front anyway and a Ranger 621FS style bow is pretty big too. A Minn Kota Ulterra is great to keep you on spot but Talon or Power Poles are what you really need to keep from floating into docks when it's windy. Also, less than a year after buying the boat my wife and I had our first child and now a bigger boat is necessary. A boat like a Ranger 621FS which has 4 seats in back and one in the bow. Plenty of room and closer to 21' feet. Also, I'd rather have the baby riding lower inside the boat than up high like on a bassboat in his seat. Obviously he wouldn't be riding in a regular chair. We were hoping for a child but didn't think it'd happen so quickly for various reasons but it did. So, now I'm looking for a more multispecies boat someday. Anyone else regret buying a particular boat or boat style?
  16. Good to know. Once I put them on the Zman head I won't want to tear them off to put them back in the packaging, I'll buy a small flat tackle box for just Zman products. Thanks for the headsup.
  17. Where? I ordered 3 from TW bc of the sale but they are backordered. Can't wait to try them. Have some really great light weeds that I think they'd work on. I ran a Ragetail toad over these weeds and caught a nice 1.5lbs bass. I think the Sprinker would do great there.
  18. Yep, you're right. Weird I didn't see it when I looked.
  19. I use my Cabelas Tournament ZX frog rod for everything. I'm sure a pro would never do that but it's a great do-it-all rod for a great price. Normally $99, it's usually $69 on sale which is a steal. It won Outdoor Life's rod of the year in 2015(I think it was 2015).
  20. O, TW apparently doesn't carry the Sierras. My bad.
  21. Thanks! All of my rods are Cabelas Tournament ZX which I love (except the end of the handles tend to come off), but I'm excited to try a new rod. Weird how his spinning rods go from like $110 to $259. No in-between rod.
  22. Thanks! I ordered the Dobyns for myself and the Mojo Bass for my friend.
